GOSPEL
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for
salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the
Greek.
Luke 2:10
And the angel said to them, Fear not, for behold, I bring you good
news of great joy that will be for all the people.
The gospel is good news. The word gospel literally means: good
news.
By definition, any gospel that leaves you fearful of an angry and
judgmental God is no gospel at all. It is not good news.
If you are constantly joyless, anxious, insecure, uncertain, wondering
whether you are forgiven and accepted, battling with guilt, shame
and condemnation, constantly under performance pressure chasing
after Gods favour then you are gospel deficient.
THE GOSPEL IS NOT YOU CAN BUY NOW AND PAY LATER
THE GOSPEL IS NOT LOVE WITH A HOOK
THE GOSPEL IS NOT GRACE WITH A PRICE TAG
THE GOSPEL IS NOT THE LAW
The purpose of the law is to reveal sin and condemn the self-
righteous; to showcase mans flaws, faults and failures.
The bad news of the law silences every mouth and reveals our need
for a Savior. The law diagnoses the problem but does nothing to
treat it.
What is the Gospel?
There are no ifs and buts in the gospel.
The gospel is too good and is absolutely TRUE.
The gospel is called the gospel of the grace of God
Acts 20:24
But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if
only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the
Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God and of Christ.
Galatians 1:6
I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you
into the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel.
The gospel is first and foremost a declaration of love backed up
with a gift. Its the announcement of a love-gift in the person of
Jesus. (John 3:16). The story of Gods unconditional, unwavering
and unfading love for us.
The gospel is the unveiling and revealing of the Gods Grace Jesus
Christ; the grace of God that brings salvation. (Grace free,
unmerited favour, unmerited access to all of Gods goodness).
Unmerited means you do nothing to earn or deserve.
You cannot increase Gods favour over your life; you can
increase the flow through right believing but every believer
has unmerited favour and unconditional access to all of Gods
Goodness
Gods goodness towards you doesnt rise and fall with your
offering, prayers, fasting and good deeds. Gods goodness
towards you is unconditional
Salvation is absolutely free because its solely by Grace, so if
its not free then its not by grace then there is no salvation at
all because salvation is solely by Grace.
Revelation 21:6
And he said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the
beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the
water of life without payment. (ESV)
Revelation 22:17
The Spirit and the Bride say, Come. And let the one who hears say,
Come. And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires
take the water of life without price. (ESV)
Isaiah 55:1
Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has
no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without
money and without price.
Romans 8:32
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how
shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it
is the gift of God.

The Son of God be- came the Son of Man that the sons of
men might become the sons of God. - John Calvin
Receive Christ and you will be as clean as he is, as free as he
is, and as close as he is to the Father God. Steve
