Observation of marphological and anatomical structure of roots of plants

Learning Objective : after doing experiment students should be able to understand and
know the tissue that arrange root of plants

Tools & Material :

1. Microscope
2. Razor blade
3. Trays
4. Peanut age of 7 days
5. Corn age of 7 days
6. Water
7. Pipette
8. Glass object
9. Glass cover
Procedure :
1. Observe the shape of roots of peanut and corn.
2. Identify wether the roots are observed including fiber roots or tap roots
3. Make a transverse incision at the root of plant peanut and cord using razor blade. Try
liced as thinly possible and be careful when using razor blade because it can hurts
you.
4. Place the roots on glass incision separate object that has been poured with water. Putb
the roots incision separate object on glass
5. Cover both object glass with glass over.
6. Observe the preparation that have been made using a microscope with a magnifition
of 40 times
7. Describe the parts that were observedand give a caption.
8. Compare structure of tissues in organs crimpid root you observed the diagrams in the
book
9. Recprd of observational data on the table below.

Learning Objective : after doing experiment students should be able to understand and
know the tissue that arrange stem of plants

Tools & Material :

1. Microscope

4. Rod Peanut
5. Cornstalk
6. Methylene blue
7. Pipette
8. Glass object
9. Glass cover
10. Water
11. Tissue
Procedure :
1. Observe of stem on peanut and corn
2. Identification of stem observed
3. Make a transverse incision on the stem of plants peanuts and the corn with a razor
blade. Keep the sliced as thin as possible
4. Put it on a different glass object that has been poured water
5. Cover both object glass with glass cover
6. Drop the coloring substence on side of glass cover and put the paper on the opposite
side suction to suck the water
7. Observe both preparation using a microscop with magnification of 40 times.
8. Draw the part section observe and give explanation
9. Compare stem tissue structure was observe with the picture in the book
