Description
ID-227WL : The wave rider buoy is designed to
maintain the sensors detecting antenna at the
liquid/air interface, despite fluctuations in the liquid
level due to waves and tide. The sensor can detect the
presence of 0.3 mm (0.01 in) oil on water and monitor
the layer growth up to 20mm(0.79 in) reliably,
repeatedly, and without false alarms. Continuous built-
in diagnostics monitor system operation.

Principle of Operation
The sensors use a patented, high-frequency
Electromagnetic Absorption Technique. Each floating
sensor houses a high-frequency electromagnetic energy
transmitter and a receiving antenna which continuously
monitor the liquid surface.

CEMS
Description
ID-221: The sensor has a high frequency transmitter
mounted on a float that maintains its position precisely
at the liquid/air interface, despite fluctuations in the
liquid level.
ID-223 : The sensor detects the presence of and
monitors the buildup of thin layers of hydrocarbons in
wet and dry environments.
ID-225 : The sensor measures the thickness and
monitors the buildup of hydrocarbons on water.
