To Whom It May Concern:

I have been asked to write a letter of recommendation for Alexandra

(Allie) Outcalt and I am most pleased to be able to do so. I was her
professor and advisor in a highly selective credential-masters program
at the University of San Diego. Allie was nothing short of amazing and
performed in the top 1% of all students in our program!

She has student taught both in the primary grades and in the upper
grades. In the fall her field experience was in a transitional
kindergarten class with a highly diverse student population. As an
example of her creativity, Allie worked with the students on a Project-
based Learning expo that was a showcase event for parents. This
project used 1:1 digital technologies and also integrated the CA-CCSS
as well as the new NGSS standards.

Currently, she is teaching 4th grade where she is leading NGSS science
instruction through an integrated unit on energy and engaging
students in student-led inquiry. Additionally she is using Common Core
pedagogies in social studies as students are creating informational text
on California Missions (a modification of the Lucy Calkins curriculum on
informational writing).

Finally, Allie is an advocate for ALL learners. She has a can-do

attitude, and whatever she sets her mind to, she accomplishes. I do
not hesitate to recommend her employment in your school district. She
is excellent!
