Pahlawan itu bukanlah makhluk yang turun dari langit dan dengan sekejap
bisa menyelesaikan segala permasalahan yang ada. Pahlawan itu hanya
manusia biasa, tetapi mengapa dia bisa jadi pahlawan? Karena dia melakukan
hal-hal biasa dengan cara luar biasa. (Anis Matta, Lc)
Saat ini berbuat dan bergerak, kemudian mati, waktu yang tepat untuk kita
beristirahat. Berhenti berbuat berarti sebuah pengkhianatan. (Fby 09) Banyak
peristiwa yang terjadi di hadapan kita, banyak pelajaran yang
seharusnya bisa kita ambil, tetapi mengapa kita terus saja saling menyalahkan,
saling mencaci-maki dan terus berpersepsi negatif terhadap suatu peristiwa-
peristiwa tersebut, kapan kita bisa berfikiran positif dan tersenyum tatkala kita
menhadapi suatu masalah. Ingatlah dengan berpikiran positif dan tersenyum
kita akan mendapatkan manfaat yang banyak serta ingatlah juga bahwa suatu
saat nanti, yang kita belum ketahui kapan waktunya, kita akan sangat
berterima kasih terhadap segala peristiwa dan segala proses yang terjadi
saat ini, meskipun peristiwa itu kita pandang buruk saat ini (Fby09)
Jadilah Abdan syakuro (hamba yang bersyukur) ketika memperoleh nikmat
dari Allah Azza Wa Jalla, jadilah Abdul Qowy (hamba yang kuat) dalam
memegang prinsip dan ketika menghadapi berbagai cobaan dan tribulasi
dakwah serta agar tak dicemooh orang karena kita lemah, jadilah Abdul Aziz
Al-Rasyid (hamba yang bijaksana dan cerdas) dalam menganalisa dan
memutuskan berbagai problematika serta menjadi pusat referensi orang di
sekitar kita, jadilah Shafwan Abdussalam (hamba yang selamat dan bersih
serta murni) dalam pemahaman Tauhid kita, bersih dari ke-syirik-an (tidak
mempercayai hal-hal yang datang bukan berdasarkan dalil syara), bersih dari

There are fact that most of the students of SMPN 18 Bengkulu city were
still low in comprehending reading texts. Therefore, the main objective of this
study is to investigate the effect of mind mapping on the reading comprehension
achievement at eight grade students of SMPN 18 Bengkulu. The population was
the second grade students of SMPN 18 Bengkulu in the academic year of
2016/2017 with a total number of the students was 295 students. From this
population, 27 students were taken as sample. There were two classes, each of
which consisted of 27 students. The data obtained were analyzed by using t-test
formula. It was found that the result of post test t-count (14.646) was higher than
t-table (1.706). The finding showed that there was a significance difference and
mapping strategy improved students reading comprehension achievement.

Fakta menunjukan bahwa pada umumnya kemampuan pencapaian


pemahaman bacaan siswa SMPN 18 Bengkulu masih rendah. Oleh karena itu,
tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeahui apakah ada perbedaan
signifikan antara siswa yang di ajarkan dengan menggunakan strategy pemetaan
dan dari mereka yang tidak. Penelitian ini menggunakan design kelompok pretest
posttest. Populasinya adalah siswa kelas dua di SMPN 18 Bengkulu pada tahun
2016/2017 dengan jumlah siswa 295 siswa. Dari populasi ini, 27 siswa diambil
sebagai sample. Data yang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes pemahaman
piliha ganda. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus t-test.
Dari analisis t-test tersebut ditemukan bahwa hasil posttest t-hitung (14.646) lebih
tinggi dari t-table (1.706). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat
perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik dalam meningkatkan prestasi
pemahaman membaca siswa melalui strategi pemetaan.
