VI. RATIONALE

Human Trafficking is one of the 3 largest criminal industries that take advantage
of victims through slavery, organ trade, sexual exploitation and forced labor. Up to 27
million innocent men, women, and children are trafficked around the world every year.
Most of these victims never experience freedom again in their life. People all around the
world need to be more careful about their surroundings because you never know whos
out there that can lead you into one of the victims. The effects of being caught up in
human trafficking can really mess someone up, physically and mentally. Usually, girls
and young women are deceived and brainwashed, they might have gotten AIDs or
another disease and are beaten or raped by their owner. Their body might be super
weak from working too hard and cant be allowed to look for medical assistance
because they have gotten threatened.

VII. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Social Work Interns needs to be oriented and gain knowledge about the basic
information about Human Trafficking and its importance.

VIII. OBJECTIVES

1. The student will be able to give importance to Human Dignity.


2. Intensify the awareness of Social Work Interns about the Human Trafficking.
3. Strengthen their knowledge about Human Trafficking.

X. RECOMMENDATION

It is deemed and necessary to enhance the knowledge and awareness of Social


Work Students Intern about the Human Trafficking in relation to Social Work Profession.
