3.3 Static electricity hazard 3.3.1 Stop hot work and open flame activity before mobilizing the diesel
tanker to refuelling area.
3.3.2 Check the fire extinguisher condition in the Diesel, water and
sewage Tanker and maintain spare fire extinguishers at site.
3.3.3 Stop and switch of the engine of vehicles and equipments to be
refuelled while refuelling.

4 Diesel Tanker positioning 4.1 Explosion 4.1.1 Provide earthing to the Diesel Tanker while refuelling.

brim of vehicle / equipment fuel tank.
4.2 Spilling 4.2.1 Use spill tray to prevent spills.
4.2.2 Maintain spill kit at site.
4.2.3 Refuelling is to be done at designated / permitted area only.
4.3 Slip, trip and fall. 4.3.1 Manual handling technique to be maintained.
4.3.2 Mechanical assistance will be used wherever possible.
4.3.3 Buddy system should be carry out in lifting of bulky object.
4.3.4 Discuss Manual handling Procedure in Tool box / STA.
4.3.5 Use proper hand gloves (abrasion resistance gloves).
4.3.6 All tools should be checked before using and proper use of PPE.
5.2 Hand Injury / pinch points 5.2.1Ensure that only Inspected tools are used and workers are
appropriately trained for torqueing.
5.2.2Hand gloves to be used as per Project hand gloves selection Matrix
5.2.3Identify and mitigate potential pinch point, discuss during toolbox talk.

Note: Tool Box Talk must be conducted to every crew member. It is recommended to conduct
tool box talk every shift/day as a minimum if the job is done over a period of time. A new crew
member at any point of time must be included in TBT and his signature included. Use
supplementary/photocopy sheets of the above as required.
