Dear Ms. Bose

Subject: Scope of Producing Film in a Joint Venture

It is a great honor for our organization to be a part of your prestigious production.

Equally, it is a great pleasure for me to be of your assistance in answering all the
quarries you had in the reference letter. For your better comprehension of the complete
scenario, the information you sought are given below in a chronological order.

It may have already been found in your primary research that the film industry of
Bangladesh has hit the wall in the beginning of this century. Nonetheless, it has seen a
great many decades of prosperity in the past, especially through 1970s to 1990s. It has
produced many classics like Titas Ekti Nodir Naam (1973), Sareng Bou (1978), Surjo
Dighal Bari (1979), Chhutir Ghanta (1980), Shonkhonil Karagar (1992), Aguner
Poroshmani (1994), Matir Moyna (2002) and more. The industry has also produced
many commercially successful movies like Beder Meye Josna (1979), Alor Michil
(1974), Devdas (1982) in the past. However, sadly it is true that the industry started
struggling in the early 2000s mostly due to budgetary limitations.

As a sign of prospect, in recent years, the film industry started regaining its lost pace.
In 2013-2014 it has earned the highest grossing in ten years. Although the subsequent
year did not reach the expected record high but the 2015-2016 turned out to be another
successful year for the industry. As for 2016-2017, it is expected that, with some big
hits, the year may yet reach to another high in recent years. If invested thoughtfully
and with appropriate resources that you have in your disposal, a joint adventure with
our production is potentially very much profitable. Mentionable that, investments such
as yours are highly appreciated by the local government as it is beneficial both for the
industry and the overall economy of the country.

It is evident from your reference letter that your production is mainly interested in
producing several movies rather than a limited number of productions. Your aim is to
keep producing movies in a continuous manner as long as the market remains
promising. In accordance with your strategy and present market suggestions, our
Finance Department opines in favor of producing movies of romantic-comedy genre
first. As it happens to be that it also falls under one of your areas of expertise since
recently you have produced many hit movies like Haripad Bandwala, Kelor Kirti,
Bindaas and Love Express of the same genre. However, the options of exploring other
genres like action, thriller or adventure are also available. Since these genres require
more budget allocation than of the romantic-comedy genre, we strongly suggest to test
the market with romantic-comedy genre and from there move on to the next levels.

It is also evident from your letter that you have carried out a primary research on our
film market and the results have confirmed your expectations of prospering in it.
However, to reach a common ground for joint adventure, it would be required for you
to send a three/four-member delegation team from your production. The team will
discuss the necessary terms and conditions of the venture with a similar team from our
production. They may even carry out an on-ground research with the assistance from
our team. They will also help us generating a task-list for establishing the joint
venture in Bangladesh. We are willing to send a representative with all the draft terms
and conditions for study by your team members prior to their departure. Our
representative will help you to explain all the terms and conditions and will return
with your team, if you shall agree to send one.

Once we reach an agreement, which I am sure we will, it would be required for your
production to get necessarily government approvals to operate in Bangladesh. We
assure you of all the assistance from our end that might be needed to get the
approvals. Also completing other arrangements including visa processing, long term
living facilities, opening of branch office and such will be assisted by our company. A
team of experts on this ground will be employed to help you set up everything here.
Furthermore, we will help you completing the task list within the timeline they
would be assigned in.

Thank you for your earnest interest in working with our production.

Looking forward to meet you in person soon.

Sincerely yours,

Zakaria Ahmed
