Our Faculty should defer from making an

assignment worth the majority of the course
mark. Academic writing and skills should be
viewed as a process. In order, to achieve
quality, the learner should be shown that they
are continually improving, and the end
product should be their highest quality work.
This way of thinking works well, with
Academic Integrity issues. If any Faculty
wishes to discuss Academic Integrity I would
suggest you first try to implement this
process of ensuring quality and high end
learner success practices.

If we give process marks for rough drafts of

assignments (process marks 5%) then we as
Faculty can catch plagiarism before they
submit their final paper with plagiarised
works, or citations where credit was not given
properly). In this way, you will not have any
issues with Academic Integrity with your
learners.
