animal classification as a group.

Instruction Getting Ready:
Whos been to one of the zoos in Minneapolis? (or somewhere else)
You and your group will pretend that you are zoologists at the Minnesota Zoo!
Turn-and Talk:
what are some of the ways that scientist classify organisms?
You will apply what you learned in lessons 1 and 2 and at Quarry Hill to complete this group activity
with a group:
1. Sort the cards into groups based on common characteristics
2. Complete the graphic organizer to reflect your thinking.
