1.8 Specifications/Samples

ASTM should be included
No certain brand name mentioned. If indispensable, the
words or equal should be included invariably
1.8.5 Modifications
No modifications in specifications after invitation of
tenders
If modifications are inevitable, sufficient time for
retendering
If short of time, negotiations to be held but equal
opportunity to all the tenderers quoted in original tender
after sanction of competent authority
1.9 Limited Tender Enquiries
Only to approved firms
Last successful supplier is invariably included
Min 3 firms and max 7 or 8 firms
Rotation method if large number of suppliers listed
If sent to unregistered firm, approval of higher authority
above rank of DyCMM needed

1.9.8 Option Clause
The Purchaser reserves the right to vary the ordered
quantity by (+) 30% at any time, till final delivery date of
the contract, by giving reasonable notice even though the
quantity ordered initially has been supplied in full before
the last date of Delivery Period.
Option clause shall be exercised during the currency of
the contract

given to supplier to reduce price before exercising option
