Major Responsibilities:

Picks up, clears and/or disposes of litter, including but not limited to street, parks, and alleyways, including loose garbage, such
as the removal of illegal notices, signs and posters.
Assists employees with maintaining parks, flower beds and shrubs. Performs such tasks independently only when working as
part of a crew.
Assists employees with setting up recreational equipment, such as chairs, benches, soccer/football posts. Performs such tasks
independently only as part of a crew.
Key Qualifications:

Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Capable of understanding the Occupational Health and Safety Act, its regulations and training.
Must be physically capable of performing required duties. (Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the hiring process
as required under the Citys Employment Accommodation Policy and the Joint Modified Work Program in the Collective
Agreement.)
May be required to do shift work in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
Ability to deal courteously with the public.

*This is a non-driving position and the term of employment will commence no earlier than May 1 and end no later than August 31.
