Students at Herod Elementary have piloted this method and worked with HISD to create a how-to video:
https://player.vimeo.com/video/195680735
Teacher logs in to the HUB and selects Digital Resources from the blue banner at the top of the screen (if
it is not immediately visible, click More)
Teacher then clicks on "Log in with Active Directory"
Teacher then clicks on Students -
If the teacher does not have a class roster the Students option will not appear
Teacher then chooses "Generate Clever Badges"
Teacher selects the group or class for whom to print badges
** If a teacher needs to print a badge for a new student or if a student needs a replacement, select only that
student's name from the list of students. Selecting the entire class will generate a new badge for all students.
Also, only one teacher should print QR codes for a particular student, because any new QR codes generated will
invalidate the previous code. For example, homeroom teachers should most likely be the one to generate codes.
I do not have students connected to my name in Chancery, so I am unable to print the QR codes. You can use
card stock if you would like, the lighter the paper the better, preferably white. If you need assistance with this
process, please let me know.
