GUIDELINES FOR SIP

1. First understand the whole process of the company and its related assignments. Segment all
those activities into major division such as HR, Marketing, Finance and Operations. Do
understand the coordination and cooperation of different departments together as a company.
Then as per your specialization do plot the problem identification in accordance to the
present situation.
2. The proper identification of the clear specific problem on your specific domain gets the
project 90% done. Be clear to choose one clear specific problem even it can be simple but it
should affect the overall productivity. Then do define the research methodology that you are
going to adopt for this research. It is advisable to go for primary data research which can be
supported by secondary research.
3. Then learn on the people associated to it and figure out the respondents of your research. Get
the population and the sample numbers of the respondents. If the respondents are small in
number then do consider all of them.
4. The list out the objectives of your research. (it can three to five) Then with respect to the
objectives frame a questionnaire. Maintain the questionnaire to be simple, clear and rightly,
understandable by the respondents. It can be in 5 point scale, yes or no type or ranking.
5. Before structuring the questionnaire, do understand the factors that are to be evaluated or
gauged among the respondents. It should have independent (personal details) and dependent
variables (factors on the identified problem).
6. Then make the interview schedule for data collection. Do explain the focus of the research
with its objective and then ask the questions to them & make the responses. If the
respondents are adaptable with the questionnaire then they themselves can fill it up.
7. Then do frame the hypothesis in accordance with the objectives of the research, then the
corresponding data analysis for the collected data with required inference, can be done. After
the inference, do write the same as finding associating the inference with the hypothesis and
objectives of the study. Then write the conclusion of the study followed by the suggestions
for better function of your department domain towards better results.
8. As given in the SIP guidelines do align your content times new roam fonts of 12 size, 1.5
line spacing, titles in 14 bold, side heading in 12 bold, number all the headings and side
headings, give number to all tables and figures.
9. Collect some data on the Industry of the domain and on the company profile, then on the
department in which you work on.
10. Compile all these data in accordance with the flow specified in the SIP Guideline Docket.
