Lesson: number 17.

On Monday 27 of February 2017, I taught students math lesson (number 17). I started this
lesson by a presentation. This presentation includes 17 cherries that students need to count it then
they need to find number 17. After that, I wrote the number in the whiteboard. Then I gave
students instructions about the activities. After that, the students did the activities. When they
have finished the activities I finished the lesson by asking students if they achieved the learning
outcomes or not.

The learning outcomes of this lesson were identifying the number 17, write 17 accurately
using proper pencil grip, distinguish the difference between a groups of 17 from other numbers
and assemble 17 objects next to the numeral 17. I achieved all learning outcomes because the
activities supported all learning outcomes.

In this lesson, I had some of the weakness points that I need to improve it in the future.
The first point is stop being confused and try to relax. I should use different positive reinforces
these could be verbal praise or using the reward system. In addition, I need to focus on all group,
not just one group when they do the activities.

Lesson: monkey puzzle.

On Tuesday 28 of February 2017, I taught students topic lesson which was about one of
Julia Donaldsons stories. I started the lesson by asked questions for students about Julia
Donaldson. Then I asked students questions about the cover page of the story. Then, I read monkey
puzzle story for the students. After that, I asked them questions about the story. Then, I gave them
instructions about the activities. After the activities, I asked students to come back to the carpet to
assess their learning.

My learning outcomes of this lesson were Knowing Julia Donaldson is an author who writes
childrens books. Students were able to explore different characters found in the story. I achieved
both aims because I made activities which helped students to remember the characters of the
story. Also, I asked students questions about the author and the story. I think my lesson was
successful because I was more confidence compare with the previous lesson.
I need to focus more in one area in the future. This area was use different positive reinforces. I
just use verbal reinforce and I need to use the reward system.

Lesson: ch digraph.

On Wednesday 1 of March 2017, I taught students about ch digraph. I introduced the


lesson by told the students about what we will do in the lesson. Then I asked students to repeat
the /ch/ sound. After that, I asked students to give me words with /ch/ sound. After that, I gave
students instructions about the activities. After the students did the activities, I asked them to tidy
up the materials and came back to the carpet to assess students learning.

The learning outcomes of this lesson were recognizing a digraph is two letters that make
one sound, being able to write digraph ch accurately using proper letter formation and pencil grip.
Being able to name objects that contain ch digraph and being able to produce /ch/ correctly.

The strength areas of me lesson that I know how to deal with problems. I had a problem
with the computer so I cant play a video. Instead of using the video I asked students to give me
words with /ch/ sound. The weakness area was the lack of using different positive reinforces.

Lesson: tricky words.

On Sunday 5 of March 2017, I taught students tricky words (he, she, I, me, the). I started
the lesson by asked students to read the tricky words. Then I taught them how to write the tricky
word. After that, I gave the instructions about how to do the activities. Then the students did the
activity. Before the lesson finish, I asked students to come back to the carpet to assess their learning
by asked questions to them about the tricky words (read and spell it).

The strengths areas in my lesson that I gave students good activities which support the
lessons learning outcomes. Also, I observed all the group and I did not focus on one group. In
addition, I used verbal reinforce when the students answered the questions or did a good job in
the activities.

The weakness area was that I need to give clear instruction about transitions. In the future,
I hope to find a good way to do transitions.
Lesson: missing numbers.

On Monday 7, March 2017, I taught Kg 2 students a math lesson which was missing
numbers. I started my lesson by asked the students to count the numbers to discover the missing
number. Then I used PowerPoint to explain the lesson for the students. After that, I gave them
instructions about the activities. After the students have finished the activities, I asked them to
come back to the carpet to assess their learning.

I didnt find a lot of activities about this lesson. As a result of that, I tried to create useful
activities which help students to understand the lesson. So I made one hand on activity and
worksheet. In the future, I will try to create many activities about this lesson. The strength point in
this lesson was I used short time in the circle time.

Lesson: extra reading.

I didnt teach students the lesson because they were practice for the production all day.
So my MST told me to delay it to next week.

Lesson: tricky word.

In this lesson, I taught the students about tricky words (do, to, was, we, be). I started the
lesson by reviewing the tricky word. After that, I taught them how to read and write the tricky
words. Then I gave the students instructions about the activities. After that, I asked them to go to
the tables to do the activities. In the end of the lesson, I assessed students learning by asked them
to read the tricky words.

This lesson was successful because I achieved my learning outcomes. Also, I used good
transitions and good instructions which helped students to understand what they will do. In
addition, I used good strategy to assess students learning. I asked them to stand up and the student
who can read the tricky word can sit. This strategy helps me to recognize students who didnt
understand the lesson.

I need to focus more about positive reinforces. I need to use the verbal feedbacks with
facial expressions to help students to know that they did something good and useful.
Lesson: 3D shapes cone.

I started the lesson by show the students a video about 3D shapes. After that, I played
another video about the objects with cone shapes. After circle time, I gave students instruction
about activities. For this lesson I gave students activities which were two craftwork (dog face and
giraffe), sort objects depend on its shapes (cone, cube or sphere) and sort shapes to 3D and 2D.

On the end of the lesson, Ms. Vikki told me to stop the lesson because they need to practice
for the production. So I didnt assess students learning.

The strength points in my lesson were short circle time so I have a lot of time to spend it
in the activities. Also, I gave students good instructions about the activities which helped them to
understand what they will do.

In future, I need to focus more about positive reinforces. Also, I need to use the reward
system to manage students behavior.

Lesson: extra reading.

In 14 of March 14, 2017, my MST told me that she will practice with the students for the
production. So my class was canceled.

Lesson: recap digraphs.

I taught students a literacy lesson for two periods. This lesson was about recap digraph. I
started the lesson by told students about what they will do during the lesson. Then I taught them
how to say and write the digraph (sh, th, ch, ng). After that, I gave the students instructions about
the activities. Then they did the activities. After the activities, I asked students to write words with
ch, sh, th or ng as an assessment for the students learning.

This lesson was successful because I used different activities which help students to learn.
Also, I followed a good strategy to assess students learning. This strategy was written some words
with sh, th, ch, ng in whiteboard.

I need to focus more on how to start a recap lesson, I need to know the weakness on the
students and try to make a lesson that supports students to learn more.
