An intimate and complementing union between a man and a woman in which the two become

one physically, in the whole of life. The purpose of marriage is to reflect the relationship of the
Godhead and to serve him. Although the fall has marred the divine purpose and function of
marriage, this definition reflects the God-ordained ideal for marriage from the beginning.

Marriage is the most basic and significant social relationship to humankind. This relationship
must be nurtured and maintained for the welfare of all. Without marriage, society will fail.

New Testament marriage imagery describes the relationship between Christ and his church
(cf. 2 Cor 11:2 ; Eph 5:21-33 ; Rev 19:7-9 ). The church, Christ's bride, is sacrificially loved by
Christ, just as a husband should love his wife ( Ephesians 5:25 Ephesians 5:28-30 Ephesians
5:33 ). The husband's responsibility is leadership, even as Christ is the head of the church, his
body ( Eph 5:23 ). The wife responds submissively to her husband's sacrificial love like the
church submits to Christ's ( Ephesians 5:22 Ephesians 5:24 Ephesians 5:33 ). The husband's
love assists her in becoming holy and blameless before God, even as Christ presents the
church without blemish to the Father ( Eph 5:26-28 ). Christ's relationship with the church
becomes the functional model for a marriage relationship.

family
Answer: The concept of family is extremely important in the Bible, both in a physical sense and in a
theological sense. The concept of family was introduced in the very beginning, as we see in Genesis
1:28, "God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.
Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the
ground.'" God's plan for creation was for men and women to marry and have children. A man and a
woman would form a "one-flesh" union through marriage (Genesis 2:24), and they with their children
become a family, the essential building block of human society.

We also see early on that family members were to look after and care for one another. When God asks
Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" Cain's response is the flippant "Am I my brother's keeper?" The
implication is that, yes, Cain was expected to be Abel's keeper and vice versa. Not only was Cain's
murder of his brother an offense against humanity in general, but it was especially egregious because it
was the first recorded case of fratricide (murder of one's sibling).

government

Answer: The Bible speaks very clearly about the relationship between the believer and the government.
We are to obey governmental authorities, and the government is to treat us justly and fairly. Even when
the government does not live up to its role, we are still to live up to ours. Finally, when the government
asks us to do something that is in direct disobedience to Gods Word, we are to disobey the government
in faithful confidence of the Lords power to protect us.

Whether the Bible uses the terms master, ruler, government, or any other name for an established
authority, the instruction is always the same obey. We must remember that God created the authorities
ruling over us just as He created us. As Paul wrote to the Romans, Everyone must submit himself to the
governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that
exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling
against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves (Romans 13:1-
2). Peter wrote, Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether
to the king, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong
and to commend those who do right (1 Peter 2:13-14). Both Peter and Paul also remind slaves
repeatedly to be obedient to their masters for the same reasons (Ephesians 6:5-8; Colossians 3:22-25; 1
Timothy 6:1-2; 1 Peter 2:18-20; Titus 2:9-11).

Education

There is little trace among the Hebrews in earlier times of education in any other subjects than the law.
The wisdom therefore and instruction, of which so much is said in the book of Proverbs, are to be
understood chiefly of moral and religious discipline, imparted, according to the direction of the law, by the
teaching and under the example of parents. (But Solomon himself wrote treatises on several scientific
subjects, which must have been studied in those days.) In later times the prophecies and comments on
them, as well as on the earlier Scriptures, together with other subjects, were studied. Parents were
required to teach their children some trade. (Girls also went to schools, and women generally among the
Jews were treated with greater equality to men than in any other ancient nation.) Previous to the captivity,
the chief depositaries of learning were the schools or colleges, from which in most cases proceeded that
succession of public teachers who at various times endeavored to reform the moral and religious conduct
of both rulers and people. Besides the prophetical schools instruction was given by the priests in the
temple and elsewhere.

Proverbs 16:16
How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be
chosen rather than silver.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and
not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Proverbs 4:13
Keep hold of instruction; do not let go; guard her, for she is your life.
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of
your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is
good and acceptable and perfect.
Family member and the row

Ours is a dark and decaying society. Sins that only twenty years ago were gasped at and
spoken of in hushed and troubled tones are now publicly flaunted and even encouraged. Not so
long ago, extramarital affairs were scandalous. Today, they're viewed as the norm. Even the
president of the United States can engage in promiscuous behavior with a young intern, lie
about it, and enjoy overwhelming support in public opinion polls. Why? Because so many
Americans' own private lives are filled with similar sins. Our society has become inured to the
sinfulness of sin. Homosexuality, incest, abortion, and even sex with children no longer shock
and infuriate society the way they once did. In fact, all those sins now have their own advocacy
groups, people who argue that such things are healthy, even desirable, activities.
The moral collapse has caused untold damage to the family. In fact, any attack on the moral
fiber of society is ultimately an attack on the family. The proof can be seen in statistics that now
show broken families are the rule rather than the exception. Turn on almost any one of the
daytime television talk shows, and you're likely to see families literally disintegrating before your
eyes.

Organized efforts to undermine the family and family life are now being sponsored by the
women's rights movement, the children's rights movement, and the gay liberation movement.
Hardly an election day comes anymore, without including "gay marriage" initiatives and other
voters' propositions whose sole purpose is to redefine the whole concept of family. These are
perilous times for the family. Add into the sinister brew the changing concept of marriage, the
increasing acceptance of divorce, and the obliteration of gender differences and elimination of
any distinction between male-female rolesand it becomes easy to see why the concept of
family today is nothing like it was just two decades ago.

Matthew 6:14-15 NIV

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Ephesians 4:31-32 NIV
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of
malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ
God forgave you.
Luke 6:37 NIV
Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.
Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Colossians 3:13 NIV
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against
someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Luke 23:33-34 NIV
When they came to a place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the
criminals one on his right, the other on his left, Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they
do not know what they are doing."
John 8:7 NIV
When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you
is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
Romans 12:20 NIV
I believe that your life must will be blessed through forgiving others. Would you like to
choose to forgive for the benefit of others? Maybe your decision can bring an opportunity of
redemption for others.
