Chapter 4

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

This chapter presents how the researcher completed the process of data gathering by

floating a researcher-made questionnaire.

Table 1 shows the opinions and thoughts of the employees of PLDT about how Manny

Pangilinan as a leader and their boss.

After we acquired the data, the top ranks of the quality that Manny Pangilinan attains based

on the opinions and thoughts of the employees of PLDT was Inspiration, Generous, Kind,

Passionate, and Confident followed by rank 6 which is Helpful, seventh Calm, eight Humility,

rank 9 Enthusiastic and lastly Approachable.

Textural Description. The table shows the ranking of the qualities that Manny Pangilinan

have based on the results gathered. It shows the opinions and thoughts of the employees of

PLDT where Manny Pangilinan is their boss.

Structural Description. The table answered the question: What are the opinions and

thoughts of the employees of Manny Pangilinan as their leader or boss. The top quality that the

respondents agree the most was Manny Pangilinan serves as their inspiration. People always say

Im a self-made man. But there is no such thing. Leaders arent self-made; they are driven. I

arrived in America with no money or any belongings besides my gym bag, but I cant say I came

with nothing: Others gave me great inspiration and fantastic advice, and I was fuelled by my

beliefs and an internal drive and passion. Thats why Im always willing to offer motivationto

friends or strangers on Reddit. I know the power of inspiration, and if someone can stand on my

shoulders to achieve greatness, Im more than willing to help them up. (-Arnold

Schwarzenegger)

Essence. After a conscientious analysis of the textural (what) and structural (how)

descriptions of the experiences shared by the participants, it is proven that leaders are made and

not born.

Leaders plays a big part to each employees. The way a leader treats its employees was a big

factor on their thoughts and opinions about their boss. It affects the way they will be motivated

with their jobs. Great leaders find balance between business foresight, performance and

character. They have vision, courage, integrity, humility and focus along with the ability to plan

strategically and catalyze cooperation amongst their team.

Chapter 5

SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the summary of findings, conclusions and the future directions of

the study to further enhance the concepts and the facts discussed in the preceding chapters as

provided by the results of analysis of data.

Summary

The study focused on opinions and thoughts of the employees of PLDT about the

qualities that Manny Pangilinan have as a leader and boss.

To solve the main problem, the two core questions were worked out by the researcher:

1. What are the qualities of Manny Pangilinan as a leader or boss?

The significant findings of the study are as follows: Manny Pangilinan serves as an

inspiration to his employees. They also thought that he is generous enough to give them

importance as a worker. He is also kind, confident and passionate to his work. And that were the

qualities he has why he succeeded as a Business enthusiast.

Conclusions

Analyzing the textural (what) and structural (how) descriptions of the participants, the

following conclusions were drawn.

1. The participants are appreciative about how they are treated as a worker.

2. Manny Pangilinan has good qualities that made him a successful Business enthusiast.

Recommendations

The following are offered as recommendations for possible actions:

1. Leadership is a big factor that will affect the thoughts and performance of the employees that

is why those who are aspiring to succeed in the business industry must have a good qualities

because it will be a big factor on how employees will look up to you.

2. Future researchers may consider larger number of respondents to verify these findings. They

may also explore other dimensions that are relevant and necessary to the study.
