Spring is here (maybe) 3rd May at 7pm


Having changed the clock ahead to the British Summer Time
Go Global party in LCR (Union House)
(BST) its daylight for longer. The temperature is a little
warmer with some sunny gorgeous days (and some others Further info and booking your ticket
not so much). Spring is definitely on its way. We are pretty Go Global
sure that you are all enjoying your Easter break, maybe trav-
elling around or just enjoying your free time and the nice
weather. The University is closed over EASTER from Thurs-
day 13TH April until Wednesday 19th April when it is business
as usual. For the ones on campus (maybe getting ahead of
your revision) the UEA library is open 24/7 and you can still
get hot food throughout the Easter break at the restaurant at
INTO: https://portal.uea.ac.uk/into-restaurant-and-cafe
Monday May 1st is also a bank holiday and UEA will be
closed for the day (except the Library and INTO Caf).
Easter Cake
The UK has a traditional fruit cake for Easter Sunday, called
Simnel cake, topped with 11 spheres of homemade marzi-
pan, representing all the Apostles, minus Judus, who is not
included because he betrayed Jesus
to the roman guards!
If you like marzipan (almond paste)
then you will love it. Here is a link to
a recipe (from the BBC) if youd like
to try.

Let your voice be heard !
You are eligible to vote in local elections if you are:
- British, Commonwealth or EU citizen, and ZEST is closed over the Easter break from 27th March to 21st April
for a refresh (re-upholstering of bench seats, lighting modifications,
- resident at an address in the area you wish to vote in, and re-decoration, etc.).
