Arabian Dreams

Dubai is a paradise for expatriate

workers. Everybody come here
with dreams and hope. It is the
most populous city of U.A.E.
There are people from all over
the world living and working
peacefully here. Dubai is a
major transport hub for
passengers and cargo. The city
had under gone a tremendous
growth spurt in last few decades.
Trading and tourism is the main
source of income.
People who dare to dive into the
sea of fortune of Dubai, mostly
go back home with what they
deserve.

Beauty of Arabian architecture
View of the Street
Downtown area of Dubai is full of high raise buildings
constructed, beautifully using the most modern
technology. A huge labour force from other countries
continuously works to build this city.
We can see plenty of expensive automobiles plying and
parked here. Interesting fact is that all these vehicles are
imported. There is no automobile manufacturing in U.A.E.

Even now during so called recession period.

On the top of the world
160 stories about 160 storeys! That is the tag-line for
Bhurj Khalifa - the tallest man made structure in the
world. The construction of this Vertical City started in
the year 2004 and the building was opened in 2010. It was
a great team work of an expert international team.
An extravaganza of 330,000 cubic metres of concrete;
39,000 tonnes of steel reinforcement; 103,000 square
metres of glass; and 15,500 square metres of embossed
stainless steel. The tower took 22 million man hours to
build.
This is an example of human excellence. You can watch a
sunset from the bottom - get into the lift and go to the
top, and again can see one more sunset.
It is a 200 storey building - habitable upto 160th floor.
There are observation decks at level 148, 125 and 124.
View from the top is fabulous!

Civilisation level of any city can be
assessed from the way meat and fish
markets are maintained. Following
are the views from Sharja Fish
market. Fully air-conditioned, well
ventilated clean and dry market
palace with separate facilities for
cleaning of meat and fish. Proper
disposal of waste is given high
priority.

worlds most coveted addresses are here.

Desert
A desert poses challenges to human senses and judgment
capacity. It takes courage, determination and stamina to
travel through the desert. Sometimes it is burning hot and
sometimes chilling cold. At any moment there could be a
blinding sand storm. There are mirages that take you for a
ride till death. In-spite of all these difficulties, travelling
through desert is adventures and thrilling.

Behind the Screen
Behind every extra ordinary success there are
stories of human suffering and exploitation. Be it in
the construction of Pyramids of Egypt or Taj Mahal
there are many untold stories of misery and
suffering. Dubai is not an exception. Under the
polished surface there are many visuals that are not
so pleasant.

Agony of poverty
It is a period of financial crunch;
people sometimes lose their jobs
and are made to fly-back to their
home countries without prior
notice. In such cases pets are often
thrown to streets. Some good
species of cats are thus seen on the
roads. There are government
announcements on radio to hand
over the abounded pets to the
government pet homes instead of
throwing them on streets
For those who seek cheap
accommodation.
There are bed spaces available
for Indians, Pakisthanis, Indian
bachelors, Ladies and so many
other classes of human beings.
Notices are seen on the wall of an
underpass in the rich city.
O dear eyes please come back...Lets go back to the dream in a plane of flowers
And end it gracefully...

Thank You
