Cars should be banned in the city

Issue Cars should be banned in the city. As well, all know, cars
create pollution, and cause a lot of road deaths and other
accidents.

Argument Firstly, cars as we all know, contribute to most of the pollution in

the world.
 Cars emit a deadly gas that causes illnesses such as
bronchitis, lung cancer, and 'triggers' off asthma. Some of these
illnesses are so bad that people can die from them.
Secondly, the city is very busy. Pedestrians wander
everywhere and cars commonly hit pedestrians in the city, which
causes them to die. Cars to day are our roads biggest killers.
Thirdly, cars are very noisy. If you live in the city, you may find it
hard to sleep at night, or concentrate on you homework, and
especially talk to someone.

5. Review
Tujuan komunikatif dari Review Text adalah melakukan kritik terhadap peristiwa
atau karya seni untuk pembaca atau pendengar khalayak ramai, misalnya film,
pertunjukan, buku, dll.
Text Organization
1. Orientation
 Orientation adalah sebuah pengenalan. Sebelum masuk ke dalam ulasan
yang lebih mendalam, penulis melakukan sedikit cuap-cuap mengenai apa
yang ingin diulas. Hal itu bisa dilakukan dengan cara menyebutkan nama
produk, hal-hal yang akan dibahas, atau bahkan sedikit membandingkan
dengan produk yang lainnya.
2. Interpretation
Disinilah sebuah review detail terjadi. Penulis akan mengulas secara penuh
mengenai bagian-bagian produk mulai dari cover hingga spesifikasi secara
keseluruhan. Sebagai contoh, penulis sedang melakukan review terhadap
Tab, maka dijelaskan mulai dari bahan pembuata cover tab, apa filosofi
desain dari tab tersebut, seberapa besar kapasitas baterainya, bagaimana
kualitas layarnya, apa saja aplikasi terbaru yang ditawarkan, serta berapa
pixel dan seberapa baik jepretan kamera yang dihasilkan.

3. Evaluation
Disini, akan dibahas mengenai evaluasi atau penilaian mengenai tab
tersebut dari sudut pandang penulis. Sebagai contoh, penulis memberikan
kritikan bahwa tab yang sedang diulas belum mampu diandalkan dalam
pemakaian waktu jangka panjang karena kapasitas baterainya yang terlalu
rendah. Kemudian, ada pula kritikan mengenai kualitas casing yang hanya
terbuat dari plastik kualitas rendah sehingga sangat mudah rusak.

The Amazing Spiderman 2

Introduction
I will start by saying that I am a huge fan of Spider-man. I love all the trilogies worked by Raimi
(yes, even the Spider-man 3) but I do not like the The Amazing Spiderman 1. I was skeptical
when I wanted to watch this movie, but I was wrong and I think this second sequel is really
great. Unlike its predecessor, this film is full of action, humor, and emotional. Played by the big
players, the story is well-written. The action is really spectacular and the final scene makes me
satisfied.
Evaluation 1 / Interpretation
The story begins when Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) struggled to maintain his relationship
with Gwen (Emma Stone) after her fathers death. His actions also causes the emergence of a
new enemy, Electro, a villain played by James Foxx. Peter also continue to investigate what
happened to his father and reunited with his old friend, Harry Osborn. This movie is ended by
the death of Gwen that makes the audience will be very emotional and sad.

Evaluation 2

However I have to criticize about this film addressed to Paul Giamatti who plays Rhino. His
appearance is too over. His acting also does not show that he is a feared villain. It would be a
serious problem for the next Spiderman series. So I hope he can improve his acting better than
before.

Summary
Overall, I think this is the best superhero movie since the appearance of The Dark Knight Rises.
The script is well-written and convincing. I am sure the next series will be outstanding superhero
movie. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves Spider-man or other superhero movies.

Hortatory Exposition Text adalah jenis teks yang menyajikan argumen atau
alasan untuk mendukung pendapat. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memengaruhi pembaca
untuk melakukan sesuatu atau bertindak dalam hal tertentu.
Thesis / Sebuah Pernyataan Pengantar :
Thesis berisi tentang pengenalan ide pokok penulis tentang suatu peristiwa atau kejadian
yang akan diangkat atau dibahas. Ini terdiri dari titik penulis pandang (tesis), preview argumen
yang akan mengikuti bagian berikutnya, dan pertanyaan atau pernyataan emosional untuk
mendapatkan perhatian pembaca.
Arguments
Arguments berisi tentang pendapat-pendapat yang mendukung ide pokok penulis.
Semakin banyak pendapat yang penulis tuliskan, semakin menarik sebuah Hortatory Exposition
Text itu, karena pembaca cenderung percaya terhadap suatu peristiwa jika terdapat banyak
pendapat yang mendukung di dalamnya. Arguments biasanya untuk mendukung tentang tesis.
Oleh karena itu diperlukan beberapa persyaratan. dijelaskan sebagai berikut;

Sebuah paragraf baru digunakan untuk setiap argumen

Setiap paragraf baru dimulai dengan kalimat topik

Setelah kalimat topik terdapat rincian untuk mendukung argumen

Recommendation
Recommendation berisi tentang Pernyataan tentang rekomendasi atau ajakan penulis
terhadap pembaca untuk melakukan sesuatu yang ada kaitan nya pada Tesis dan arguments.

Ciri Bahasa Hortatory Exposition Text

1. Menggunakan simple present tense

2. Menggunakan Action verbs: value, dll.

3. Menggunakan temporal Connectives: firstly, secondly, thirdly, dll.

4. Menggunakan evaluative words; importanly, valuablly, trustworthly, dll.

Example of hortatory exposition about Corruption / Korupsi

Thesis
Do you know what the meaning of corruption is? What is the relation between money and
corruption? Well, corruption is common everywhere in the world, even in the United States. Its
just a matter of intensity. However, it is quite shocking when one reliable survey claims Jakarta
as the most corrupt place in Indonesia.

Argument 1
The survey has made me sad, actually, because I stay and earn a living here in the capital. As
most people know, Tanjung Priok port smuggling is not a new thing at all. Entrepreneurs who
want to minimize their tax payments tend to do such a thing more often. They even bribe the
officials.

Argument 2
Well, I think the measures taken so far to overcome the problem by punishing the corruptors is
still not far enough. We have to prevent the younger generations from getting a bad mentality
caused by corruption.

Recommendation
I believe we should start at the earliest stages in school and I think everyone should be involved
in the effort to eradicate corruption. We must not make any distinction.
