Will Minorities Ever be Equal?

Dear Mr. Trump,

I am writing to you as a deeply concerned high school student in California on the topic of Racial

Inequality. Racial inequality is a horrendous problem in the US, and handling of the issue has been even

worse. The issue of inequality has plagued this country for centuries in the past and now is the time for a

change in America. As one of the most diverse countries in the world, (according to Harvard, and Goren)

America cannot afford to have an epidemic this large affecting it. Many of Americans are directly

affected with this problem that is sweeping across the nation because of foreign ties, and I know many

across the world are feeling the immense hurt also. The problem originated, and continues in the

government, or more specifically the White House, where you will have a seat in, come January 21st.

Racial Inequality has affected many in history, and across the world: including many citizens of the

country you will lead.

As an American with mixed racial background, I have a problem with this country's beliefs and

identity. Stemming from my full latino grandfather to my Native American Uncle, many races are spread

through my families bloodlines, I have heard of my ancestors previous pain and suffering. Hundreds of

thousands of people who live in the country where people's dreams are not shielded by the curtain of race

are scared for their lives in wake of this recent election, because of your racial views. Many were shaking

as they heard the news of the election, but you can change that. All of us should attempt to change the

problem. All of us citizens need to make an effort towards change. All of us need change.

Do not run from problems like Romeo from Verona. Many believe that you cannot lead us as the

American people. Many people believe that our country is headed towards doom, and many people are

praying to God above that you do not ruin their home. It is your job to end the thoughts of these people,
use your position, and place for positive affect, and fix the problem of racial inequality. It is these same

citizens that are being asked to support you, and your job is to make them believe.

A plan needs to be devised, and carefully calculated to solve the most effective problem in our

countries history. The place to start is Americas schools, where a commitment to educate the the least

privileged among us needs to be at the forefront. Also, racial group leaders must come together and

communicate to citizens on all sides, plus giving minorities a greater opportunity to express.

Many believe these steps cannot be taken because of previous tensions between various racial

groups, or because many racial groups do not recognize issues within their group, but with strong political

guidance, these hurdles can be passed.

This problem of racial profiling, and racism, and racial targeting, and stereotypes is long overdue

for a change in America. People are suffering, crying, and wrenching in pain everyday, and according to

theNation.com American Indian and Native-Alaskan students represented less than one percent of

students in America, but three percent of expulsions. The issue stretches into the school systems in the

US, and is directed at the children that you will be leading into adulthood for the next 4-8 years.

Many leaders of this country in the past have tried to join the train of war, and execute leadership

by oneself, and have failed. Dont let yourself become a statistic, and like so many other leaders in history.

I encourage you to differ from the former leaders of this nation, and execute on words and visions that

people are presenting to you. War and violence is the root of all evils, and inequality is the fruit to all

goodness. The world is changing, in ways that you may not be ready to accept. This change is coming

very fast, and it is coming right towards our country. The problem is in your hands. I advise you to follow

the footsteps of the past Presidents you are following, and fix the problems in your country. Rally the

people and win over our confidence, and belief, with your actions. Can you gain the confidence of the

people, and make them believe? This is where you make your mark on history, Mr. Trump, change this

problem in America, and lead us out of the state we are sitting. Lead the people of this country into
gracious belief. Lead us into an equal society and equal mindset as a nation. Remember, you let down

America and America will let you down. This is your country.
