schooland tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations.
I come from a community that is heavily influenced by the Mexican culture. The culture
has shaped me to become a studious student. However, due to living comfortably with a
population with the same demographics, I am not fond of traveling outside of the state.
Coming from a Mexican family, a lot is expected of me. I am told repeatedly to study and
not to slack off from school. My parents want me to achieve a career and not become a hard
labor worker like them. They want me become a hard worker who uses their mind instead of my
physical body.
In addition, due to my demographic living condition, I do not want to step out of the
state. For my education and career, I would like to remain in california. I have seen in the news
that most ethnicities are not welcome in most states. In addition, due to the recent political
