 PREFACE

Nowadays, you can find material that covers the CAGED system in abundance. It can be found
in any textbook about guitar theory or by browsing the web. Despite of the vast amount of
resources; in my years of teaching, I noticed that quite often my students have a hard time
learning and applying arpeggios across the different tonalities and it becomes a tedious and
uninteresting subject to explain to my students.

This method does not have the presumption of being revolutionary nor really innovative. This
book is a mini collection of exercises for quickly learning the different forms on the fretboard
of a guitar and their application on the inside of a sequence of chords like in any song.

I hope that you will appreciate this method and that it can be a help to those who would like a
professional approach on the world of the six strings and and eventually break free from the
same old licks in order to construct solos and phrases that have more personality .
