The spirit of man

Job 32:8 But[there is] a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them
understanding.
Ps 51:17 The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O
God, thou wilt not despise.
Pr 15:4 A wholesome tongue [is] a tree of life: but perverseness therein [is] a breach in the
spirit.
Pr 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the
spirit is broken.
Pr 16:32 [He that is] slow to anger [is] better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit
than he that taketh a city.
Pr 17:22 A merry heart doeth good [like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Is 61:1 (KJV) The Spirit
of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed
me to preach good tidings unto the meek (poor); he hath sent me to bind up (heal) the
brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them
that are] bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to
comfort all that mourn;
3 To appoint unto (console) them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they
might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be
glorified.

Lk 4: 18 The Spiritof the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the
gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the
captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Zech 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which
stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit
of man within him.
Jn 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the
Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Th 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole
spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus

Broken Heart
Ps 34:18 The LORD [is] nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be
of a contrite spirit.
Ps 147:3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
 God knew us from the womb
Job 31:15 Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in
the womb?
Ps 22:9-10 But thou [art] he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope
[when I was] upon my mother's breasts. I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou [art]
my God from my mother's belly.
Ps 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvellous [are] thy
works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, [and] curiously

Ps 71:6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of
my mother's bowels: my praise [shall be] continually of thee.
Is 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I
[am] the LORD that maketh all [things]; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that
spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
Is 46:3 Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel,
