This article explains the importance of fine arts in culture. Music is the basis of most societies
and play a big part in many different events including spiritual rituals. The author of this article
talks about the importance of music, dance,and theatre in all communities. The author then talks
about how in many places cultural performing arts are in danger of being forgotten due to the
new influence of world music.

This article is for a united nations organization making it a very reliable source. The websites
resources must be trustworthy to protect the organization's reputation. This article was written
for anyone who would be interested in performing arts around the world. For my capstone on
the importance of fine arts in community, this article is very credible.

The importance of performing arts in society as been talked about for many years, some do not
realize the impact of the arts. This article discusses how even against the rise of television and
internet fine arts still prosper. The author list three reasons why performing arts still thrive the
first is expression, next history, then creativity. The article introduces the arts as an outlet that
allows many students to open up, imagine, and learn new things.

This article is from a musical theatre academy making the article a little bias. The intent of the
article is to convince people to support and participate in the arts. When it comes to my project it
is very relevant since it goes along with the impact that fine arts make.

The point of this article is to explain the huge influence that music has on a person. The author
writes that regardless of what genre of music a person listens to we are all affected by each beat
and lyric that we hear. She then talks about how music not only gives us different emotions, but
also helps us deal with certain emotions. This special connection that we have with music is
noted by the author as very important and helpful.

This article is not bias since it is for a psychology website. The purpose of this article is to
inform people on the effect music has on emotion. The article is credible when it comes to
explaining the importance of music. The bases of my capstone is teaching the importance of fine
arts so this article can be used.
