The choirs alternately respond: Hgios o Thos, etc., Holy God, etc. The first choir always
sings Hgios o Thes, as above.

The following verses of reproach are sung alternately by [one or] two cantors from each choir, both choirs
together responding, My people.

and scour- ges.
I gve you sv-ing w- ter from the rck to drnk, and for drnk you
gve me gll and vn- e- gar.
I strck dwn for you the kngs of the C-naan-ites, and yu struck my
had with a reed.
I pt in your hand a ry- al scp- tre, and yu pt on my head a
crwn of thrns.
I ex- lt- ed yu with grat pw- er, and yu hng me on the scf-
fold of the crss.
