One choir sings:

Another choir responds:

Ho- ly is God.
First choir:

H- gi- os Is-chy- rs.

Second choir:

Ho- ly and Migh- ty.

First choir:

Second choir:

H- ly and Im- mr- tal One, have mr- cy

Be- cuse I ld you ut thrugh the ds- ert

for your Sa-vior.

The choirs alternately respond: Hgios o Thos, etc., Holy God, etc. The first choir always
sings Hgios o Thes, as above.

Wht mre shuld I have dne for you and have nt done? In-

ded I plnt- ed you as my most bau- ti- ful and ch- sen vne,

and yu have trned v- ry bt- ter to me, for in my thirst you gave me

vn- e- gar to drnk, and with a spar you have perced your S- viors

side.

The choirs alternately respond, Hgios of Thes, Holy God, etc.

The following verses of reproach are sung alternately by [one or] two cantors from each choir, both choirs
together responding, My people.

I fd you with mn-na in the ds- ert, and on m you rained blows

and scour- ges.

I gve you sv-ing w- ter from the rck to drnk, and for drnk you

gve me gll and vn- e- gar.


I strck dwn for you the kngs of the C-naan-ites, and yu struck my

had with a reed.

I pt in your hand a ry- al scp- tre, and yu pt on my head a

crwn of thrns.

I ex- lt- ed yu with grat pw- er, and yu hng me on the scf-

fold of the crss.
