Title: inspired responses by Carol Frederick Steele

Summary: The word inspired here is define as an effective. So here it talks about three

things that makes effective teacher. They are content knowledge, experience, and

continuous refinement. To achieve this goal teaher should always have good communication

with students. It leads teachers from being unaware teacher to aware teacher. There are four

important skills to gather information from students that this article talks about. They are:-

1. Intepreting the events:Teacher should intepret every events in classroom. Teacher

should not always focus on their content but the behaviour of students whether they

are learing or not. They can go around students touch their heads, smile in order to

encourage them to learn. Teacher can show verbal and non-verbal responses to

students.
2. Being sensitive to context: Teacher should always care students attention to the

subject. Students are from different background. Sometimes they do not like the

words used by teacher. It might distracts them from learingin this case teacher can be

aware of word using and use the word that encourage student to learn.
3. Testing hypothesis: while taking exams, teacher should always test students ability.

Teacher should not only give the test according to their level of understanding but

beyond that. It helps teacher to understand how much students comprehend the

knowledge.
4. Improvising: If the child is not listening to teacher and focus on outside thing, teacher

should make them to focus on learning. In this case they should not always go with

rules. They should show their concern to students which helps them to focus inside

rather than outside thing.

Basically this article talks about how teacher can be aware to the behaviors of students. It is

beyond rules to control students. It is how we can show love and concern twords students by

caring each events in classroom.

Evaluation: Mainly in traditional classroom teacher focus on their content. If their student

make noise, they have rules to follow in order to control classroom. This article talk about

effective communication with students which encourage students to learn. It is important for

teacher to encourage student to learn from inside. In the classroom teacher teacher should

aware about the events of students. Teacher should provide frequent feedback, facial

expression, body language, attitudes and soon. It is also connected with our previous learning

that how to make effective classroom management. One way to manage classroom is to

show love and concern to students. students will show how to teach them, if we remain

open to the clues they send. In Bible philipians 2:3-4 says Do nothing out of selfish

ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to

your own interests but each of you to the interest of the others. Yes, as teacher we should

always show studens thatwe care them in order in glorify god himself. This article also

connection with disposition of commitment to others. It is life skills for teacher to handle

the classroom environment. In the similar way, this article have few limitations. It is because

it talks about teacher should be aware of each activities that hapen in classroom. It is difficult

to do sometimes. To help student in learning and helping emotionally at the same time is

challenging. It is diifficult for teacher to use words that is not sensitive to students.

Sometimes it is hard for students to be aware in every events. So far this article gives us

pratical ways to manage classroom.
