Donorschose.org awarded Mrs. Klausing a $392 Grant for Building Social Skills with Lego! This project will be for the Bigel ow Hill
School Social Skills Group.
The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation has authorized a one-year grant totaling $10500 to Findlay City Schools to
support the Lincoln Elementary School program. (Michael Scoles) Funding source: Bill and Eveline Stitt Fund
The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation has authorized a one-year grant totaling $10,994 to be awarded to Findlay
City Schools to support the Jefferson Primary School program. (Kim Plesec) Funding source: Bill and Eveline Stitt Fund.
The Advisory Committee of the Hancock Education Fund Grant of the Hancock-County Community Foundation authorized a one-
year grant totaling $2624 to be awarded to Findlay City Schools to support the Sensory Outlets: Calming Measures for
Overstimulation project. (Karen Herold) Funding source: National Lime & Stone Company, Hancock Education Fund and M.
Margaret Foster Education Fund.
The Advisory Committee of the Hancock Education Fund Grant of the Hancock-County Community Foundation authorized a one-
year grant totaling $4000 to be awarded to Findlay City Schools to support the Lincoln Library Update project. (Angela Usry)
Funding source: Barton & Josephine Wilson Fund for Education.
The Advisory Committee of the Hancock Education Fund Grant of the Hancock-County Community Foundation authorized a one-
year grant totaling $6000 to be awarded to Findlay City Schools to support Join Phalanges, Feathers, Furs, and Flukes Around the

The Advisory Committee of the Hancock Education Fund Grant of the Hancock-County Community Foundation authorized a one-
year grant totaling $4400 to be awarded to Findlay City Schools to support the Non-fiction: Real People/Animals Making Real
Differences and Books Without/With Few Words project. (Judy Withrow) Funding Source: Barton & Josephine Wilson Fund for
Education.
The Advisory Committee of the Hancock Education Fund Grant of the Hancock-County Community Foundation authorized a one-
year grant totaling $5675 to be awarded to Findlay City Schools to support the funding for the Missoula Theatre After School
Theater Camp and Performance project. (Krista Miller) Funding source: Barton & Josephina Wilson Fund for Education.
The Advisory Committee of the Hancock Education Fund Grant of the Hancock-County Community Foundation authorized a one-
year grant totaling $6000 to be awarded to Findlay City Schools to support the funding for Creating Future Innovators for the 21 st
Century project. (Kristen Woodhull) Funding source: Hancock Education Fund and William H. and Martha E. Lape Fund for
Innovation.
The Advisory Committee of the Hancock Education Fund Grant of the Hancock-County Community Foundation authorized a one-
year grant totaling $413 to be awarded to Findlay City Schools to support the Jacobs Gents and Leading Ladies program at Jacobs
Primary School. (Krista Miller) Funding source: Isabelle Pratt Fund for Education.
The Advisory Committee of the Hancock Education Fund Grant of the Hancock-County Community Foundation authorized a one-
year grant totaling $2000 to be awarded to Findlay City Schools to support the Collaboration and Creativity in the Geometry
Classroom project. (Karen Ouwenga-pending acceptance into Incubator Program) Funding source: Tom and Esther Orndorff Fund
and The Findlay Publishing Company Fund.
The Advisory Committee of the Hancock Education Fund Grant of the Hancock-County Community Foundation authorized a one-
year grant totaling $733 to be awarded to Findlay City Schools to support the Washington Pre-K All Season Garden project. (Kari
Redman) Funding source: Field of Interest-Education and National Lime & Stone Company.
The Advisory Committee of the Hancock Education Fund Grant of the Hancock-County Community Foundation authorized a one-
year grant totaling $2237 to be awarded to Findlay City Schools to support the Chamberlin Hill-Birchaven Connection project. (Patty
Majors) Funding source: Barton & Josephine Wilson Fund for Education and M. Margaret Foster Education Fund.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provision of the Ohio Revised Code 3313.53, the duly appointed representatives of the Findlay
Board of Education have offered the following extra-duty positions, listed below, to the certificated employees of the district and
have advertised the positions to certificated personnel not employed by the district, and

WHEREAS, no qualified certificated individuals have been found for these positions, NOW BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that
the Findlay Board of Education hereby deems it appropriate to employ non-certificated personnel for the specified positions for a
period not to exceed one (1) year and that the compensation shall be according to the adopted salary schedule for said position(s):

O. FY17 Amended Appropriations Resolution #1

The treasurer recommends approval of the FY17 Appropriations Amendment #1 as presented in EXHIBIT G.

The superintendent recommends approval for the following out-of-state travel:

Trisha Klausing to travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan to attend PLAY Project Intensive Workshop on May 18 th and May 19th.
10 People to travel to Boston on July 25 th-28th to attend the Building Learning Communities 2017 - Education Conference
2017.
Beckie Rader to travel to Orlando, Florida from May 10 th-14th to attend the BPA National Leadership Conference.
Brian Sheehe to travel to Northern Kentucky on April 21 st and 22nd to participate in WGI World Championships.

B. FDA Sponsor Contract

The superintendent recommends approval for the Sponsor Contract between FCS and FDA as shown in EXHIBIT I.

C. Treasurer Contract Renewal

The superintendent recommends approval of the five year contract renewal for Treasurer Michael Barnhart from August 1, 2018
through July 31, 2023.
