Activity The students will be given an assignment based on
media and will need to create their own photo
album on the app Photocliq.
The teacher will demonstrate:
1. How to download the app
2. How to create an account with your name
and email
3. How to make the teacher a part of the cliq
(allows teacher to view photos)
4. How to upload a picture
5. How to create a new image.
The teacher will also show the students an example
of the completed album. The student will create an
album with 8 pieces of media they have found
online and 2 of their own, original, photos (teacher
demonstrated how to create one, or you may take
an appropriate photo of yourself) they have
created to complete an album of 10 photos that
they will share with the teacher. (This can also
work as a group project by sharing albums with
other people to create groups)

This app is very easy to use and very friendly. It

makes creating photo albums and pictures easy and
it is free to create and album. You can then add
people to that album that will be in your cliq and
these people may view your photos.
The students will be given a topic on which they
will be responsible for writing a speech with a
group of students (3-4 total) and then delivering
the speech to the class.
In order to collaborate on the speech as a group
outside of class, the students should download the
app ooVoo and video chat with their group,
practicing their public speaking.
The teacher will lead the class into downloading
this app and then go over a short tutorial:
1. Download
2. Make an account with your email and name
3. Add your group members as friends
4. Demonstrate how to press the call button
to call a friend and how to add friends to
the group call.
5. How to send messages with the app
The group can then use the app to text and write
messages to each other on recommendations
during the video. The students will then submit a
screenshot (demonstrated by teacher how to do
this after the call is completed) of the time stamp
for the call to the teacher for credit and then be
graded on the oral presentation they present to the
entire class.

This app makes it easy to communicate face-to-face
with classmates and video chat with people, making
it easy to practice an oral presentation, even from
home.
