Introduction
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) operates a 243 Km long 18 dia. Cross
country multi-product pipeline from Guru Gobind Singh Refinery (GGSR) Dispatch terminal
(Ramanmandi) in Bhatinda (Punjab) to product receiving facilities at Bahadurgarh (Haryana) for
transporting POL products such as Motor Spirit (EURO-III, EURO-IV), HSD (EUROIII, EURO-
IV), two grades of Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO), Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) and Naptha. The
current capacity of the pipeline is 4.71 MMTPA. The pipeline capacity is planned to be enhanced
up to 7.11 MMTPA.
Presently, LPG is being transported from HMEL refinery to Bahadurgarh and other LPG plants
in North India by LPG Tank Trucks and rail wagons. The utilization of RBPL for transporting
LPG along with POL products in RBPL will bring down the dependency of transporting LPG
through road trucks and rail wagons and will be environment friendly and economic.
2. 1 no. of Intermediate Pumping Station at SV-4 (Near Barwala) with 2 +1 (Working+ Standby)
mainline pumps along with associated facilities.
3. 8 nos. of Sectionalization Valve (SV) stations along with associated facilities. No. of SV
stations are tentative and may reduce based on detailed engineering studies.
The proposed project envisages transportation of LPG along with MS, HSD, SKO, ATF etc.
from Ramanmandi station to Bahadurgarh terminal. The transportation of LPG will be done in
already exists pipeline with 243 km long having 18" dia pipeline. The pipeline is already laid and
there are no rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) issues.
The land use at station/terminal is flat and land use of pipeline is varying from flat terrain and
there are some undulations. The pipeline crosses river and number of canals/nallas, agricultural
land etc. The agricultural land is already restored to original and return back to farmer for
agricultural purpose. No additional land will be required for laying of pipeline.
