Annotated Bibliography
What happens to Helen Keller as she ages from six years old to sixteen?
Keller. It gives Helens date of birth, her date of death, her parents and other small facts.
However, the source does not go into great detail about Helen. The source was primary
because the newspapers in the source were written by Arthur (Captain) Keller, who was
Helens father. Also there were photos taken of Helen while she was alive, plus
manuscripts written by Helen herself. The source tells how Helen adapted gradually to the
outside world as she grew. The source showed how Helen went around the country and

The source is filled with useful information about Helen Keller and her early life.
The
source gives a full biography of Helen Keller. The source is secondary because it

was
written at a different time period than Helen. The source shows how Helen lived
her life
after her miracle occurred. It states how Annie lived with Helen until Annie died. This
goes over Helen's life from the age of twelve till her death. The website
death. The source is very good for researching information about Helen
Keller's early teens to the end of her life. Some useful information
discovered is that Helen went to Perkins Institute for the Blind with
Annie Sullivan.

The source focused on Helen Keller's life as an adult. It was mainly small facts about
Helen's life as a political activist. This website was secondary. This was true because the
information was written after Helen Keller's life. The only information that was about
Helen's early life was the date she was born on. The source would be helpful in finding
information about Helen as a political activist, but not at all helpful in finding information
about Helen's early life. The source described how Helen went to many public speeches.

The book The World I Live In by Helen Keller, tells the story of Helen Kellers life as a
young adult till she was middle aged from her point of view. The book is extremely well
written in a poetic yet real story of Helens life. It gives not only the information about
everything she did, but also what it was like for her. The source is primary because Helen
wrote it herself. The book gave information about the little things like how the simple
experience of petting a dog felt to her. This was a great source of information.

The sources I used for my annotated bibliography would be great in a research report
about Helen Kellers early life from the age of six to sixteen years old. There would be
information about Helens early life from Helens perspective. There are details of her life from
secondary sources about her life. The sources use modern day information to compare to how life
was for Helen during her lifetime. This gives an explanation of where Helen Keller got her
opinions from. If a research report about Helen Kellers life from the age of six to sixteen was
done using my sources, the writer would have a lot of information to choose from. Four of my
sources would be useful in research except for the source titled Helen Keller Our Champion.
This website gives information about Helens adult life. This source would be useful for writing
about Helen Kellers adult life as a social activist, but not useful in finding information about
Helen Kellers early life because the only information about Helen Kellers early life that is given
is her date of birth. The website gives interesting facts about Helen but mostly is appraising her
as their champion. The best way to understand the information Helen gives in her book The
World I Live In is by reading the secondary sources because they give an overview of Helens
past. In my opinion I think that if writing a research paper for a project, an annotated
bibliography would be very useful in helping the writer discern the good and useful sources from
the biased and unhelpful ones. Doing this annotated bibliography project helped me realize
something. That having good sources is an extremely important part of writing a research paper.
Gassis 5
This is true because without good sources the paper would have biased and untrue information.
Without this project I would never have been able to fully appreciate how important citing my
sources is. Not only so that I can give the sources credit, but also so that I can use the sources
again. This is the reason for why I think the annotated bibliography helped me understand
researching.
