1. Eaborate the definition (Based on expert)
Liver disease or Hepatitis the other name for that disease occurred in

the liver, that caused by various factors such as delivery of bacterial

infection/viral hepatitis or because of too much consumption of

alcoholic beverages.
Defination based on expert
a. Hepatitis is an acute inflammation of the liver, can be caused by

bacteria or toxic injury, but hepatitis viruses are more common

(Engram, 1998)
b. Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver area of necrotic tissue and

cell degeneration (Reeves, 2001)

c. Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver caused by one of five viral

agents diffirents (carpenito, 1999)

According to WHO data in 2013, the number patients with liver

disease, hepatitis in Indonesia is expected to reach 28 million people.

The liver-virus become one of the 10 largest disease cause of death in

Indonesia.

The medical expert often refer to the liver disease/hepatitis is the

silent killer. The meaning of the disease is sometimes does not cause
 any symptoms so that at time when do a liver disease, hepatitis has

been severe (chronic) so it can be deadly.

The worst impact of liver disease/hepatitis resulting in cancer of the

pancreas or liver cancer and bile duct cancer. It can also spread the

infection occurs in diseases such as cirrhosis or liver damage.

Signs and symptoms of liver disease include:
- Skin and eyes that appear yellowish (jaundice)
- Abdominal pain and swelling
- Swelling in the legs and ankles
- Itchy skin
- Dark urine color
- Pale stool color, or bloody or tar-colored stool
- Chronic fatigue
- Nausea or vomiting
- Loss of appetite
- Tendency to bruise easily

Hepatitis A is a hepatitis is the most mild when compared with types of

4. The role of pharmacist (solutions)

As a professional, a pharmacist should play a role in helping the

governments efforts to create a healthy society and independent.

Pharmacist in particular must participate actively in the treatment of

diseases requiring long-term treatment, has a high prevalence and

also endanger lives. Liver disease ,

including diseases that quite a lot of people suffer from Indonesia,

species vary and require different handling.

1. Provision of outreach to the community about the liver disease;

early symptoms, the source of the disease, prevention and relief

the first to do.

2. Production of bulletins, leaflets, posters and public service

announcements about liver disease in the context of education.

3. Participate Infection Control hospital infections through the Steering

disinfectants;
4. Explains the drugs should be used, indications, how usage,

dosage, and time of use.

5. Perform counseling to patients to see progress treatment and

monitor possible side effects of drugs.
