The goal will be to gain an understanding of similar challenges and conmmon roays to deal with issues that are faced by all GLBT Muslints regardless of race, culture, and/or ethnicity. Break 4:10-6:00 p.m. Session #3 What Islam REALLY says about Homosexuality A theological analysis of what Islam ordains regarding the issue of homosexuality, Participants will analyze the Qur‘anic ayahs (verses) a well as hadith (sayings/teachings) of the Prophet (pbult) that supposedly address the issue. With the emergence of too very important identities in our lives, this session will focus on how we can affirm ourselves as individuals, and as a larger gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community.
