Obstacles and Challenges Facing Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual,

Participants will identify obstactes and challenges facing GLBT
‘Muslims around the world. The goal will be to gain an
understanding of similar challenges and conmmon roays to deal
with issues that are faced by all GLBT Muslints regardless of
race, culture, and/or ethnicity.

What Islam REALLY says about Homosexuality
A theological analysis of what Islam ordains regarding the issue of
homosexuality, Participants will analyze the Qur‘anic ayahs (verses)
a well as hadith (sayings/teachings) of the Prophet (pbult) that
supposedly address the issue.

can affirm ourselves as individuals, and as a larger gay, lesbian,
bisexual, and transgender community.
