Pre-assessment of current knowledge: Ask students what they know about plants/different parts of plants.

I will use a checklist with the standards and objectives listed -flower petals -paper

Reflection: (What have you learned about your students? How will this inform future instruction?)

My students really seemed to enjoy the visual art lesson. They were interested in the different parts of the plant and liked making a picture out of them. Some of
the students mentioned that they havent done anything like this before. Something that I learned about my students is that they liked using authentic materials in
their visual art. I also learned that the students are more engaged when using authentic, hands-on materials throughout the lesson. This will inform future
instruction by using more authentic materials in future lesson plans since it engages the students and helps them understand the content more. The only thing I
would change about this lesson/experience is having more plant parts available for the students to choose from to use in their visual art piece. Overall, the
students really enjoyed making visual art and had no issues with completing the objectives or standards.
