INTRODUCTION AND ITS BACKGROUND

1.1 INTRODUCTION

As we live in an advanced technology world where computers are a big help to all human beings,
the discovery of all digital mechanisms has increased from a small gadget to big equipment, which
are the products of the work done by well- trained scientists with the help of the advancements in
science and technology. As time passes by, those aspiring individuals who want to be acknowledge in
the fast-rising technology scene create more gadgets. In addition, they never fail to amaze and
satisfy the ever-curious human beings. One of the best and eventually the greatest is the
development of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Language that has the wide application in
different industries.

At the present time, we used an advanced technology to make a work faster and easier. We create a
program that helps a school administrator to enrolled a student applicant through the used of our
Proposed enrolment System. It is also helps the administrator to maintain and find the records of
the students in fast and easier way.

1.2 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

The purpose of this study was to design a enrolment system for the Name of School and to find
out its acceptability in terms of construction design and functionality. The enrolment System was
developed using the software Visual Basic, an ObjectOriented Programming visualization tool. The
result of the study revealed that the Enrolment System is Very Acceptable as evaluated by the
selected faculty members and staff of the school. In the light of the present findings and conclutions.
The following recommendations are advanced, namely, that this enrolment system should be
introduced to the school; that it should be adopted by the school to help the staff find records of
students more easily and faster and the system should be utilized as a model for future research,
especially for technology or computer-related research studies.

1.3 ASSUMPTION

For employees. The enhancement of the system will help them more in saving time in storing,
retrieving student information. It will also help them become productive by serving their client
confidently, and reassuring that the information they will provide is accurate. As for the student, the
system will lessen their waiting time, as well as they no longer need to repeat manually fill in the
enrolment forms, avoiding redundancy of data. And lastly, the system will keep updated for the
school administration for immediate decision-making process and any plans needed for the
institution growth.
1.4 DEFINITION OF TERMS

For the purpose of clarification, the important terms used in this study have been defined.

The following terms are :

It is the additional years fourth year in secondary schooling.

PARENTS : Refers to the mother and father or guardian of students.

ENROLLMENT SYSTEM : A system designed to perform the process involved in

registration, advising, assessments, and payments of students as well as scheduling of classes.

VISUAL BASIC : (VB) is a programming environment from Microsoft in which a

programmer uses a graphical user interface (GUI) to choose and modify preselected
sections of code written in the BASICprogramming language.

Microsoft Access : is a database management system (DBMS) from Microsoft that

combines the relational Microsoft Jet Database Engine with a graphical user interface and
software-development tools.

STAFF : A group of people who work for an organization or business.

4.1 STATEMENT OF THE PROGRAM

The following questions are formulated in accordance with the purpose of this system.

They are as follow:

1. How are enrolment system processed affected by the enrolment system of manual to
automatic?
2. How are staff/admin affected by enrolment system?
3. Who can use enrollment system
4. How it be used for the long time?

4.2 SCOPES AND LIMITATION

SCOPE:

- All the student record will be recorded.

- It also see the list of the student with their identity.

LIMITATION:

- It is used for enrolment only.

- It doesnt cover the facilities of the school.

- The system is not a web-based.

- It doesnt cover the payment system.
