SafeFutures Youth Center July and August Depends on Free! MYSA – Summer employment program for 10 youth ages 14-19.
Days and Hours program The program runs Monday-Thursday 9-4 for July and August. This
vary Ages 6 -19 program will work on creating a career portfolio that youth come up
with and research what it takes to maintain that career.

Asset Team – 10 youth engaged in a community building project


that will address community concerns. This project will work 4 days a
week 4 hours a day to promote leadership and strengthen the
community. This is also a summer project that will run the months of
July and August but also has year round opportunities to stay
involved in a leadership group.

Wednesday Bounce Wednesdays Teens Fees Vary Do you need some excitement in your summer? Meet at High Point CC
for a chance to put some excitement in your summer! Go-karts, miniature
golf, video games, laser tag, etc.
Be sure to bring your E-13 form, or you won’t be able to go on the
field trips.
Photography Mon 6:30-8 pm Teens Free Anyone can take digital pictures these days, but if you take this class, you
6/23-7/28 can create your masterpiece. You’ll learn how to take pictures, edit them,
and display them for maximum effect. Some teens have sold photography
this way.

TV/Film Production Mon., Wed 5 – 7 pm Teens Free Experience the world of TV, and film production. Teens will work with
7/7 – 8/27 professional film and TV crew for two hours, twice a week to learn how to
film, edit, and act making a commercial based on experiences through
Seattle Parks Department. Don’t delay register by July 1. (Snacks will be

Fishing at Easton 6/20 8:00 am – 5 pm Teens Southwest Teen Life Center will take their annual trip to the Easton Ponds
Ponds to do some fishing. We’ll leave Southwest CC at 8 am and be back to the

T-Ball 6/12-8/23 Tue, Ages 4-5 $25 T-Ball is a great introduction to the game of baseball/softball,
Tues & Thu 4:30– Ages 6-7 designed to help players develop athletically. Children will learn
5:30 p.m. the basics including hitting, throwing, catching, and base running.
We emphasize sportsmanship and team cooperation.
RBI Baseball 6/16-830 Ages 8-12 Free Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) is a youth outreach
program designed to:
1) Increase participation and interest in baseball
2) Encourage academic participation and achievement
3) Increase number of talented athletes prepared to play in
college and minor leagues
4) Promote greater inclusion of minorities into the mainstream of
the game
5) Develop self-esteem and teach the value of teamwork.
The RBI playing season will run this year from mid June through
end of August.
We are looking for teams composed of players and coaches who
are interested in participating in a free summer baseball
instructional league.
This opportunity will allow players who are not all-stars or select
players to enhance and improve their skills over the summer by
participating in a one practice and one game per week season.
There are also tentative plans to have an end of the season round
robin tournament.

Kenpo Karate Session 1: Ages 8-12 $55 per Build self esteem, self-control, and self-defense techniques while
7/3 – 7/26 session, you make new friends. Learn basic concepts and forms of
Session 2: includes gi Japanese Butokukan Karate. You will also be introduced to

Outdoor Rock August 5th & 7th, This summer, the O2 program will be facilitating rock climbing

Camp Long August 27th - 28th At the end of the summer, Camp Long will be hosting a unique
Overnight 7pm Teens -- overnight event at their beautiful inner city green space. Camp

Seattle Storm July 3rd, game starts Teens -- On July third, the Seattle Storm will play New York Liberty. We

Crank It Up!! July 12th, Saturday This workshop is geared toward beginning and intermediate players.
9am-5pm Everyone Free Come and hone your skills through hands on drills and scrimmages. Cover

Computer Skills Thursday’s, June 23rd – Starting in June, teens will have the opportunity to develop their
