YEAR 6 GEOGRAPHY TRIP - RIVER CAERFANELL
Year 6 had an excellent day on River Caerfanell, high up in the Brecon Beacons near the source of
the River Taff.
They studied the downstream changes in the features and characteristics of the river from its source
to the mini delta at Talybont Reservoir.
They took measurements at three different sites, then compared the width, depth and gradient
before conducting an experiment on the velocity at each stage.
We lunched next to a beautiful waterfall in the youthful stage. The group were a pleasure to be with
all day, they worked hard and cooperatively in their groups. We look forward to the finished enquiries
at the end of term.
