Components
There are four three-point seat belts (drivers, front passengers, rear left and rear right) and one
two-point seat belt (rear center).
The front seat belts have the pretensioner. When a severe frontal impact occurs, seat belt
pretensioners rewind the seat belts immediately to restrain the occupants to their seats. It helps
the effective operation of the seat belts and airbags.
Pretensioner
The seat belt pretensioner is a unit to retract the seat belt instantly by igniting the inflator in the
pretensioner when the front air bag system is activated.
It also increases safety effect of the seat belt by limiting the front seat occupants from moving
forward and keeping occupants in correct posture.
The load limiter is also installed to reduce chest impact to a front seat occupant by loosening the
seat belt while maintaining the force applied by the seat belt uniformly when the pretensioner
retracts the seat belt instantly. The seat belt pretensioner operates first, and then the load limiter
operates.

- Child restraint anchorages are designed to withstand only those loads imposed by correctly
fitted child restraints.
- Make sure to use the lower latch anchors and rear anchor together when installing the ISOFIX
child restraint.
- Insert the child restraint attachments into the ISOFIX lower latch anchors until it clicks.
- The tether strap may not work properly if attached somewhere other than the correct rear
tether anchor.
- If the child restraint is not anchored properly, the risk of a child being seriously injured or
killed in a collision greatly increases.
- When using the ISOFIX lower latch anchors, make sure that no interference are around the
bar and the seat belt is not stuck.
- Rock the child restraint to check if it is securely installed. Refer to instructions provided by
the manufacturer of the child restraint.
- Do not install the child restraint if it hinders the operations of front seat.
