Student Engagement:

The office of Student Engagement is honored with the responsibility of hosting all of the student

activities for Notre Dame College. Student Engagement has several branches of student created

groups that also put on events. The events covered by Student Engagement include

Homecoming, Bongoball, Open Mike Night, the Tie-die event and many more.

Why should Student Engagement continue to do what it is doing?

Student engagement is a fun way to get to know your peers and fellow classmates in a safe and

fun environment. There is also a wide variety of events that students on campus can attend. So, if

a student is not too keen on one event there are others that might suit their style or taste. Student

Engagement is providing a way to interact with fellow Notre Dame students that one might not

have had the opportunity to interact with before. The program allows other students to create

friendships and bonds that might not have been able to happen if Student Engagement was not

facilitating opportunities.

What has Student Engagement done well so far.

Student Engagement has a very high turn out to music related events in the past. Such as

homecoming and open mike night. More music related events should be considered in the future.

These are also big turn outs for the tie-die event and bongoball. Maybe Student Engagement

should have these events more than one time a year.
