ACTIONS
o Developed curriculum relevant to individual student needs to acquire language proficiency and increased

o Coordinated Multicultural Awareness Month activities to include most campus clubs and organizations;
activities included Diversity Tree, Door Decorating Contest, Poster Contest, We Have Dreams Essay
Contest, Library Lessons, Health Facts by nationality, Who Am I? on campus announcements.
o Implemented campus-wide system for collecting TELPAS writing samples in an efficient and organized
manner, conducted teacher training on Proficiency Level Descriptors.
o Created system for collecting STAAR Accommodations for LEP students.
o Organized campus Hospitality Team involvement in creating a positive school climate by celebrating staff
birthdays, and coordinating campus luncheons for holidays.

o Prepare all LPAC documentation and LPAC meeting coordinator
o Maintain student records on ESPED (Online database for ESL students)
o Train 12 teachers for TELPAS rating, as well as online calibration
o Organize TELPAS writing collection system and serve as campus Assembler & Verifier for 78 students
o Administer TELPAS Reading Assessment; create student groups in PEARSON Testing
o Initiate teacher PLCs for sheltered instruction
o Serve as campus liaison for any ESL related cases or questions
o Serve on the ARD committee as LPAC Representative- report to parent and committee current testing
results for student, and report on progress/lack of progress in language acquisition, report on effect of
language ability on classroom achievement
o Teach Language Acquisition, ESOL I & II, Reading I & II, Practical Writing and Creative Writing, and
Spanish
