Prior Knowledge (What knowledge are you building on?)
Students already know the lesson vocabulary, but they do not know how use them in
connected speech for quantities.
Lesson Objectives: These must be SMART objectives specific, measurable,
achievable, relevant, time bound
At the end of this lesson, the learners will be able to:
-Say orally the food quantities and units of measure, in terms of food outlook (can,
cartoon, bottle, tub, packet, loaves).

-Write and speak the connected speech sentence like a/an/-s..of .. for different
food and according to their quantities.

-Create a shopping list within their own food quantities (high-level), complete and
match their own shopping list (middle and low-levels).

Lesson Activities: (What will students do in the lesson?)


Engagement: read aloud story about partys food (students will listen and participate
with the teacher during the story).
Core:
A: PowerPoint for explanation (students communicate with the teacher and answer
her questions)
B: What is this game? (students will point out of real food and say the correct
sentence for each).
Plenary: differentiated worksheets for students to create/complete/match their own
shopping list). And chosen students have to present their shopping list.

what you are asking them to do for evaluation?)

My observations during shopping list activity I will move around and look at their
work and check at each peers to find out these questions. Did the students
comprehend the activity? How successful were the students in completing the
activity? How close did the students come to achievement of the objectives from the
first lesson? Variety of food vocabulary used understanding of quantities.

Personal focus (related to PDP): In this lesson I am working on:

Using read aloud and create my own story book about the lesson focus or objective.
Giving challenging activities for high-level students.
Therefore, in my teaching philosophy, I believe that I should differentiate the tasks
according to students abilities so I wont leave any child behind.
