Reflection from prior lesson: This lesson is about learning three strategies that can help us comprehend even further
what we are reading. I will teach the students three strategies (before, during and after reading) to use when reading
an informational text in order to increase their comprehension of the text.
Lesson Goal(s) / Standards:3.RI.1 Ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of a text,
referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers.
Lesson Objectives: Taught three explicit reading strategies, students will answer questions about the text, pulling
examples from the text with 90% accuracy.
