The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
place a duty on Employers to ensure that they only engage Contractors who can demonstrate competence, safety
awareness, resources and ability to carry out a construction activity with minimum risk and in full compliance with
all current UK Health and Safety Legislation.
DSP Construction Group (DSP), in its role as Principal Contractor, has a duty to assess the adequacy and competency
of any proposed Contractors to allow it to meet the requirements of Regulation 8 of CDM 2015. This is achieved
through the adaption of relevant question sets provided in PAS 91:2013- Construction prequalification questionnaires.
DSP takes the subject of Health and Safety seriously and is committed to ensuring that the process of selecting
Contractors takes full account of assessment findings and past site performance.
Contractors will be subject to an initial assessment and then re-assessment on a regular basis.
Assessment is based upon information made available to us via the attached Questionnaire; which must be
completed and returned to us with any supporting information. Please do not send original documents, copies are
acceptable. Please provide as much relevant information as you can. If some areas are not applicable to your
company, please state this. If we need to know more we will contact you.
Please contact DSP to resolve any queries with respect to the questionnaire.
