The Mission of the Month for July is Cornerstone
Pregnancy Center. Please keep this ministry in your prayers.
Cornerstone Pregnancy Center is a thriving Crisis pregnancy
center in various locations in Salem and Cumberland
Counties. Sue Smith is the executive director and is the
daughter in law of our own Fay Smith. Here is a note Sue
sent us: “An ultrasound picture is worth a thousand words-
and a few tears-as a young mother sees her unborn baby for
the first time and decides she will give him life; school
students learn about healthy relationships; many clients are
hearing the Gospel message – some for the first time; and a
healing journey for pregnancy loss begins. For more
information go to info@cornerstonewrc.org.
Join us for a prayer time every Sunday morning before
church at 9:20am. We pray for what will happen in our
worship and ask the Lord to send his Holy Spirit upon us.
Please join us in praying for revival and renewal in our lives,
our church and our land.
There are 8 assisted listening devices available for people to
better hear the worship service. They are located in a
basket in the narthex. Please return the devices to the
basket at the conclusion of worship. CD copies of our
worship service are available every Sunday in the narthex.

Pastor Julia’s Spring/Summer Sermon Series fits a theme of God
calling us and calling others to serve Him with our whole heart. As we
explore these Scriptures we will be encouraged to understand the
Lord’s calling for our lives. He has great plans for us and for our
church! Take some time throughout the summer to listen to the Lord,
what is he saying to you? Let us continue in our journey of spiritual
growth and renewal as we seek to study his word and know him better!

we do not have a leader for each week we will not be able to
offer Children’s Church for that week.
August 28th-31st End of Summer RETREAT
Young Families’, Youth Group and Camping Enthusiasts or
those who just love roller coasters….Join us at Knoebels for
a mini retreat of fun, fellowship and reflection. This trip
will be an excellent opportunity to commune with the Lord in
the beautiful countryside of central Pennsylvania. The trip
is about 3 hours away and the cost is low, due to camping and
a pay as you go amusement park. There are also hotel
accomodations nearby. RSVP to Pastor Julia or Dana by
July 29th if you plan on attending or want more

Adults-Alpha Program…come ask questions about your faith
and grow deeper in your walk with the Lord…this is a great
program for everyone whether you have been a Christian for
20 years, just a month or you are still seeking. It is also a
great event to invite a friend to attend.
Youth Group and Kids’ Klub also meets during this time!
Our Youth will be using some of the Youth Alpha program
and our Kids’ Klub will be based on a Christian scouting
program called Pioneers Club where they earn badges for
service. More information to follow.
 99 Days of Fitness Update
The surgeon general suggests each adult exercise 60 minutes a
day most days of the week for cardiovascular health, but if 30
minutes is what you can do, make that your commitment to your
heart. The hardest part about exercise is getting started so make
it easy on yourself and build it into your daily routine. That may
mean putting your work-out clothes on as soon as you wake up and
walking then or stopping at the gym on the way home from work.
After 8 weeks of the 99 day fitness program, we are averaging
about 109.2 miles per week amongst 30 participants who are
recording their mileage. Exercise activity recorded has been
walking, running, bike riding, kayaking, gym work outs, and zumba!
Keep up the great work! The rewards of exercise are to your
heart, muscles, bones and mental health!
It is not too late to start logging your miles. Use the forms in the
narthex to do so or submit miles to www.daretownpres.org . Be
sure to check the Narthex for updates on places we travel to.
Don’t forget, Anita Murphy will be available the last Sunday of
each month, July and August to check Blood pressures for anyone
wishing to have it done. Contact Anita Murphy, with questions at
358-6272 or momofsix144@yahoo.com.
Pastor Julia has also added an additional challenge. While you are
walking why not consider making your morning walk a time of
prayer? Listening to the Lord at the start of the new day and
praying for what’s ahead will also increase your spiritual muscle.
Pray for your neighbors as you pass their houses, pray for the
community while you pass your schools, allow the Lord to lead your
prayers as you take in His beautiful creation. Why not even bring
your Bible along and as you make rest stops read through a gospel
passage (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John)? People carry weights
while they walk why not carry the Word of God with you?
Save the Date-Youth Mission Trip Stockholders’ Dinner August
8th from 5-7pm. $25 for tickets if you are not a stockholder and
would like to attend. If you are a stockholder please RSVP to the
office by August lst.
Gardening for God 2010 Season…We have already started
harvesting and distributing some of our vegetables! We have most
of the planting done but with this hot weather there is a need to
keep plenty of water on the garden. Your help is needed! There
are sign up sheets in the narthex for planting, harvesting,
weeding, watering, and distribution. Any questions please see
Melanie Richman or Dana Barrett.
Don’t forget…It is never too early to start writing for the next
newsletter –any articles can be submitted to Jill at any time (e-
mail or put it in her basket). We are hoping for an early-
September issue.
We received a couple of nice “thank you” letters regarding our
vegetable donations. If you would like to see them they are on
the bulletin board outside of the nursery.
Pastor Julia, our adult leaders and our youth group would like to
thank everyone for all of their prayer and financial support for
their recent mission trip to West Virginia. As you have heard in
this worship service they had a wonderful experience and truly
grew in their faith. We were blessed by the hospitality of the
Bridgeport Presbyterian Church as we stayed overnight with them
on the way down. We were also able to share a bit of NJ with our
WV friends by bringing jersey sweet corn, salt water taffy and
zucchini bread (from our Garden). We gave prayer shawls to the
families we helped (5 in total) and promised to remember them in
prayer after our return.
