From the Pastor’s Desk - To Egypt and Back Again
This past week many at the
church began a journey to
Egypt and back again. It was
a time for many of us to be-
come “family” as we studied
the story of Joseph in Egypt.
It was a time to look at
God’s love, a time to exam-
ine the gifts that God has
given us, and a time to learn
to pray and seek God’s wis-
dom.
By the time you read this,
you will probably have heard
some of the music and seen
how the children and adults
looked for signs of God in
their everyday lives.
The week was full of won-
der as we saw the number of
those in attendance grow
each day.
Yet nothing was as powerful
as seeing the children and
adults stuff felt hearts (with
messages of God’s love) into
blankets and tie them shut.
It seems so little as we tied
two blankets off; yet these
will go with thousands upon
thousands more to Africa.
Nothing was as powerful as
seeing the blankets put to-
gether … nothing except the
look of the children who will
receive them later this year.
