A. Core Competence

3. Memahami pengetahuan (faktual, konseptual, dan prosedural) berdasarkan rasa ingin
tahunya tentang ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, seni, budaya terkait fenomena dan kejadian
tampak mata.
4. Mencoba, mengolah, dan menyaji dalam ranah konkret (menggunakan, mengurai,
merangkai, memodifikasi, dan membuat) dan ranah abstrak (menulis, membaca,
menghitung, menggambar, dan mengarang) sesuai dengan yang dipelajari di sekolah dan

B. Basic Competence

perbandingan jumlah dan sifat orang, binatang, benda, dengan memperhatikan fungsi
sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan yang benar dan sesuai konteks.

Indicators

1. Students are able to identify the adjectives used in the text.


2. Students are able to differentiate the adjectives form related to the comparison in
numbers and characteristics of animal.
3. Students are able to repeat and complete the simple dialogues related to comparison in
numbers and characteristics of animal.
4. Students are able to rearrange the jumbled words related to comparison in numbers and
characteristics of animal.
5. Students are able to categorize the adjectives into positive, comparative and superlative
category.
6. Students are able to create comparison sentences of animals in its numbers and
characteristics.
7. Students are able to compare animals in its numbers and characteristics orally.
C. Learning Objective

In the end of the lesson, students are able to use comparison in numbers and characteristics of
animals in spoken and written.

E. Learning Material, Resources, and Media

Learning Materials :

Rhinoceros beetles are the strongest animal in the world. They are stronger than
camels or even elephants. Camels can carry about 20% of their own weight on their backs.
Elephants can carry up to 25% of their own weight on their backs. But rhinoceros beetles
can carry about 850 times their own weight.

Rhinoceros beetles are smaller than camels and elephant, but they are better at
carrying loads. They can carry more loads related to their own weight than any other
animals in the world. There is no doubt that rhinoceros beetles are the best animal at
carrying loads.

Opening Activity (5 minute)

- Greetings
- The students are asked to pray before starting the activity.
- The teacher checks the students attandance.
- The teacher reviews the previous lesson.
- The teacher explains to the students about todays lesson and objectives.

Main Activity (65 minute)


- Observing
a. Students identify the picture and answer the question from the teacher
b. Students underline the adjectives from the text given by the teacher.

- Questioning
a. Students ask questions related to comparison in numbers and characteristics of
people.

- Exploring
a. Students decide whether the statements are true or false.
b. Students study the degree of comparison table.
c. Students complete the table using comparison degree form.
d. Students repeat the dialogues about comparison degree then practice the dialogues.
e. Students arrange the jumbled words given by the teacher.

- Associating
a. Students categorize the adjectives into positive, comparative and superlative
category

- Communicating
a. Students create sentences and dialogues containing comparison degree in numbers
and characteristics of people.
b. Students perform the dialogue in front of the class.
Closing Activity (10 minute)

- Students are asked to review and conclude today s lesson.


- Students are given a chance to ask some questions.
- The teacher closes the meeting.
