and depression among college students: A decade later." Pardon Our Interruption. US:
This journal article discusses that depression and suicide are rapidly increasing in college
students around the world. Also, another focus point is that depression can ultimately lead
to suicidal attempts depending on the student. There are also statistics of the suicide rate
of college students in this journal article. The authors predict that depression typically
occurs around the time of midterms and final exams. This source helped me get a better
understanding of how many students are diagnosed with depression in a school semester.
The results came back that they were all moderately depressed. Many of the students had
been diagnosed with major and minor depressive disorders. I thought that it was
interesting that they decided to conduct a study rather than just talk about the statistics. It
gave me a better visual of how one can never know that they are depressed until they are
tested.

college semester may lead to depression. Also, that most college students are not

In this article, you will find out what depression is, the many causes of depression, health
problems caused by depression, and various coping mechanisms for dealing with
depression. Most students are not aware of how difficult their life may be once they are
finally diagnosed with depression. In the article, the author expresses the importance of
seeking help. Overall, this article was informative and resourceful by adding places to go
to seek help.

depression while in college. Even though this is source was a news article it was
interesting hearing different opinions of the topic. This source was helpful because the
statistics given gave me a clear understanding of the severity of depression in college
