The total fund is required to installed the cement plant are Rs. 65
millions. Rs. 45 millions is our personal equity and remaining Rs. 20 millions
are borrowed from the Bank. Rs. 50 millions is required for machinery and
installation, Rs. 10 millions for quality assurance equipment, office
equipment and for marketing purposes and remaining Rs. 5 millions used for
working capital to grow our business.

The company has achieved its premier position by virtue of its solid

We are in the business of providing quality shelter, cement and related
construction materials, and related services at competitive prices, in a way

Economy:

The economic value of the total worth of the country with the global
perspective rates rising, so we use the imported as well as local raw material
from the supplies. Therefore we control the customers at reasonable prices.

Cultural:

According to their different type of culture we manufactured the

different types of cements, which are used to make houses, plazas, small
towers and large buildings. We cover all types of customers according to
their requirements.

Technology:

We tried to manufacture the best cement; therefore we installed the

best machinery and recruit the highly qualified technologist to make the best
quality cements for domestic and industrial purposes.

Legal Concerns:

We manufacture the cement according to the rules & legislation of our

country, before launching in market we approved our products from
concerning authorities to achieve the international standards.

We are in the business of providing quality shelter, cement and related

construction materials, and related services at competitive prices, in a way
that promotes sustainable development.

Punjab cement was incorporated in January 2010 as a non-listed Public

Limited Company. The Company's main products are Portland Composite
Cement (PCC) and Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). It also produces other
types of cement such as Portland Cement Type I and Type V, as well as Oil
Well Cement. Punjab cement is the only White Cement producer in Pakistan.

Location of our production plant at Real Industrial Estate Area, Form

No. 23, Rawat and Site office located at Plot # 49, Site # 10, Sarfraz Nawaz
Road, G-12/1, Islamabad and the covered area i.e., 5 Kanal including labs,
ware houses and office building.

Product/Services details:

Portland Composite Cement (PCC):

PCC is designed for general use of constructions, such as houses, high rise
buildings, bridges, concrete road, pre-cast and pre-stressed concrete.

Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC):

OPC is suitable for a wide variety of applications, such as construction of

houses, high-rise building, bridges and roads. OPC provides additional
protection against sulphates present in water and soils.

Oil Well Cement (OWC):

OWC is a special type of cement used for oil and natural gas drilling, either
onshore or offshore. OWC is mixed into slurry and is then injected between
the drilling pipe and the oil well casing where it is able to set and harden thus
bonding the pipe to the casing.

White Cement:

White cement is used for exterior and interior building decorations. Punjab
cement which is the only white cement producer in Pakistan, has sufficient
production capacity to satisfy total domestic white cement demand.

markets and have good influencing powers to get the orders from the clients.

 Production Plan
Complete Manufacturing process:

Production Process:

Cement production involves raw materials being dried, ground,

proportioned and homogenized before being transferred to rotary kilns to be
burned. The resulting material, known as clinker, is pulverized with gypsum
at the cement grinding mill to make OPC or mixed with other additives to
make other types of cement. On average, approximately 960kg of clinker is
used to make one ton of OPC.

The following diagram shows the production of dry-process cement:

Quarrying:

The main raw materials used in cement production are limestone, silica
sand, clay, iron sand and gypsum. Limestone, clay and silica sand are
quarried by drilling and blasting and then brought to the crushing plants
located adjacent to the quarries. Crushed limestone, clay and silica sand are
then delivered by means of conveyor belt system or by truck.

In wet-process system, raw materials are ground wet and fed to the
kiln in slurry form, which results in relatively high rates of heat consumption.
In dry-process system, raw materials are ground dry and fed to the kiln in
powder form. Given this advantage, dry-process kilns have been used by
modern cement producers. Punjab cement uses the dry-process kilns, which
consume less heat and are more efficient than wet-process kilns.

Drying and Raw Grinding:

Raw materials are dried in rotary dryers using waste heat from the kiln.
The moisture content is greatly reduced to improve quality control and
handling. The dried materials are mixed and fed to raw grinding mills to
produce "raw meal". During the process of grinding, samples are tested half-
hourly through X-ray analyzers to ensure consistent raw meal quality. The
blended raw meal is delivered into storage silos.

Kiln Burning and Cooling:

Blended raw meal is transported by pneumatic conveyors to the kiln's

suspension pre-heaters where it is preheated to achieve a high degree of
calcination (oxidization of the calcium carbonate) before the raw meal enters
the rotary kiln. In the rotary kiln, the preheated raw meal is completely
calcined and finally sintered at 1,450 C to form clinker.

 Hot clinker from the rotary kiln is discharged onto coolers where it is
quenched and cooled by fresh air from high capacity fans. The air that
passes through the clinker layer is thereby heated and is subsequently used
as combustion air in the kiln. Cooled clinker is delivered to clinker silos.

Finish Grinding:

From clinker silos, the cooled clinker is mixed with gypsum and fed into
the grinding mill to produce cement. The finished cement is then pumped
into cement silos.

Packing:

Cement is transferred from the storage silos to the packing plant for
bag and bulk loading. Bagging is done by high speed in line and rotary
packing machines. Filled bags are automatically weighed, sealed and loaded
onto trucks by conveyor belt. The total combined rated capacity of all Punjab
cement's packing machines is 5,000 tons per hour. Bulk cement is loaded
into special tank trucks for delivery to customers' portable silos at
construction sites or is trucked to Punjab cement's port facilities.

Physical Plant Layout:

The plant of Punjab cement covered an area of 5 canals (approx 22000

sq ft) for the installation of machinery. This area including labs, ware houses
and office building.
