Roll Two Dice
Bump Game Instructions
For All Bump Games EXCEPT
Equivalent Fractions Bump Game #1 and Comparing Fractions Bump Game #1

Number of Players: 2

Materials Needed: Bump game board of choosing, 10 counters of one color and 10
counters of a different color, 1 dice, 2 game pieces

Objective: To be the first person to have all of his/her counters placed onto the spaces
on the game board.

Directions:
1. Each player takes 10 counters of the same color (i.e. one player has 10 red
counters and one player has 10 blue counters).
2. Each player rolls the dice. Whoever has the highest roll goes first.
3. The first player rolls both dice. The player adds the numbers of both dice together
(i.e. if the player rolled a 6 and a 4, the sum of both dice is 10), and finds that
number in the chart on the game board. The player solves the problem beside that
number and puts a counter on top of the space on the board that matches the
solution for that problem. Note that in some games there may be more than one
possible solution; the player may choose only one space to put his/her counter on
for that turn.
If the matching space has already been covered by the other player, the
player can bump the other players counter off of the space and replace it
with his/her own counter.
If the matching space has already been covered by his/her own counter, the
player can place a second counter on top of it. When two of a players
counters are on top of the same space, that players counters can no longer
get bumped off by the other player. They are locked in.
If the matching space has already been locked in by either player, the player
cannot do anything. He/she must wait for the next turn.
4. Play continues with each player taking turns until one player has placed all of his/
her counters onto the spaces on the game board. The player who does that first is
the winner!

Around the Track
Bump Game Instructions
For Equivalent Fractions Bump Game #1 and
Comparing Fractions Bump Game #1 ONLY

Number of Players: 2

Materials Needed: Bump game board of choosing, 10 counters of one color and 10
counters of a different color, 1 dice, 2 game pieces

Objective: To be the first person to have all of his/her counters placed onto the center
spaces on the game board.

Directions:
1. Each player takes 10 counters of the same color (i.e. one player has 10 red
counters and one player has 10 blue counters).
2. Each player puts his/her game piece on the Start space.
3. Each player rolls the dice. Whoever has the highest roll goes first.
4. The first player rolls the dice. The player moves that number of spaces around the
game board track and looks at the image/reads the description on the space he/
she just landed on. The player puts a counter on top of the space in the middle of
the board that matches that image/description. Note that there is often more than
one space in the center that matches that image/description; the player may
choose only one space to put his/her counter on for that turn.
If the matching space in the center has already been covered by the other
player, the player can bump the other players counter off of the space and
replace it with his/her own counter.
If the matching space in the center has already been covered by his/her
own counter, the player can place a second counter on top of it. When two
of a players counters are on top of the same space, that players counters
can no longer get bumped off by the other player. They are locked in.
If the matching space in the center has already been locked in by either
player, the player cannot do anything. He/she must wait for the next turn.
5. Play continues with each player taking turns until one player has placed all of his/
her counters onto the center spaces. Note that players will continue moving
around and around the game board until this happens. If a player lands on Start
as he/she moves around the game board track, that player cannot place any
counters in the center for that turn.
