Here we are giving the students a ready reckoner to plan their studies month-wise.

At the top, there are months given for you to select in which month you are planning to start
your preparation for Civil Services Examination. On the left, we have given the months mentioning the topics to be completed by you in that particular month. For example, if you
plan to start study in the month of January 2015 for appearing in 2015 Exam, you will select January at the top and then see what topics to be completed month-wise in that
column. In this regard, please take care of the following-

1. This study plan is meant for General Studies Prelims and all Papers of General Studies Mains including Essays. For Optional and CSAT, you need to work out separately.
This study plan incorporates the Topic-wise Notes available with crack IAS Institute. In case you dont want to study crackIAS Notes, you can refer to various topic s from other
sources with the same study plan.
2. The colours given here viz. green, light orange, orange and red are indicative of the ease of studying if you start in these respective months. Green shows the good months
to start preparation of Civil services Exam while red shows a not recommended month to start for preparation if you are planning to appear in the same year.
3. The study hours given here are just indicative for an average student and may vary from person to person. Few students read very fast and can remember the things
easily, for them, these study hours may be lesser and vice-versa.
4. We have given this study plan from July onwards, that is, if the student is planning to start preparation for next year. From January onwards, it means that you are appearing
in the same year.
5. This study plan assumes that you are side-by-side reading newspaper or any recommended magazines to remain in touch with the current happenings around the world.
Current affairs are extremely important for IAS Exam. Therefore you need to always remain in touch with the current affairs.
6. This study plan assumes that you will be writing answers right from day one, may be on any abstract or open ended topic (for 100 words each) initially and will practice
proper answer writing at later stages.

At the bottom of this study plan, we have mentioned a list of important NCERTs and BASIC BOOKS that need to be studied. These books are very important. We
have covered in our notes of crackIAS. You can refer to that list in case you are not studying crackIAS notes or you are unable to understand any topic in the
syllabus.
